I think the lighting on series x is a bit better and more realistic than pc. Maybe because pc doesn't have ray tracing for this game while gears 5 on XSX has ray tracing for it.
Ray tracing is already implemented into the software of every version of the game. You must mean contact shadowing and global ambient illumination 50% more particle count ect. ect. that are absent on the PC Ultra settings of the game.
@@packergeek10 of the consoles it does, obviously. I don't think anyone is legitimately expecting to compare the Series X to PC ultra settings. If they are, then yeah, you're right. I just hope that's not what people are actually expecting for the gen lol.
@@danielanane246 then why do the textures look better, and why does the LOD go much farther along with the draw distance of PC? Why is there any difference at all, if it's the same ultra setting as PC
The game is running like a 2080 on XSX without even using any of the new gpu features, can't wait to see how it runs when it's been fully optimized for the XSX.
John Castiel Without Xsx optimisation in runs more than a 2080 super... can’t wait for the xsx, probably gonna run more than 2080 ti. Quite a powerful one today

@@sinchman1 no he meant that this is just a build of the game they ported in just two weeks to the series X. So it's just a small demonstration of what the series X can do. Of course once developers have time to build new games on the hardware, those new games will look incredible. But there are some new technologies they included in this series X demonstration that the pc doesn't have in this comparison. Like the changes to global illumination. So this is quite an impressive snapshot of what the series X can do
Xbox Series X use an SSGI, that's why some of the area looks a little bit darker and some lost occlusion(look at 4:41)youcan see the color bleeding to the object from the result of the GI. Also the gameplay that you used during this comparison is a compressed 4k video, which will loss some of the detail (Compared to the PC One which i believe encoded in NVENC that has better video encoder). CMIIW sorry for bad english.

PC is better lol, you can see the textures are clearer and there is some extra details. Look at 4:44 you can see the scratches on his shoulder armor better and just about everything is clearer and at 0:44 you can see some stuff that's not on Series X. Se ve muy bien, y cuando te enteras de que solo les ha tomado dos semanas hacer este port... pfff, brutal, ya quiero ver como serán los juegos diseñados específicamente para la consola, han de ser una cosa de locos.

As someone who owns an original Xbox One, the Series X really does look next gen. The parts where it directly compares Xbox One and Series X have very obvious differences. The textures look so much more blurry on Xbox One, and of course it can't run 60fps
There is a difference. The Series X utilizes contact shadowing and ambient global illumination 50% higher particle count ect. ect. which is absent from PC Ultra settings. I do however plan on upgrading to the RTX 3000 and 4000 series.

It's a fact that the Series X is better than *average PCs* but not all PCs. Obviously there are monster rigs out there but not many people have them. This is an EXTRAORDINARY feat from MS and I am HYPE to get the Series X. This video alone has me convinced that it's capable of holding it's own. Well done Xbox and MS.
@@psychopoison Ok, have fun locking yourself to one platform then since PlayStation games are coming to PC as well. Quit looking at it as "no exclusives" games will be released for the Xbox brand ONLY which means it will only be available on Xbox One Xbox One S Xbox One X PC and Xbox Series X. These games will be cross gen so that way people are not forced to upgrade just to play with their friends and get new games. The complexity of these games will increase in order to take advantage of the hardware of the Xbox Series X while the previous generation will see solutions to deal with power constraints which I'm pretty sure they'll be heavily utilizing VRS and AA methods in order to maintain performance so that they do not explode in your face. This is a consumer friendly move and they're giving gamers time to upgrade. If they see a chunk of people move to the Xbox Series X then they'll launch games that are only meant to push the Xbox Series X to the max in a year or less and if they see a chunk of people still on Xbox One they'll wait 2 years or less giving people the time they need to save up for the console and an 8K HDMI television display. This also gives ample time to developers to make and add additions to games that will be made for the Xbox Series X and PC only especially since there is now 13 studios working on such games. The internet does everything in their power to make the Xbox brand look bad after one fuck up because the one who shall not be named didn't care for Xbox and only cared about PC (Hint: sure shit isn't Phil Spencer) after Sony fucked up with the PS3 multiple times pricing it at $600 and their security being breached and yet no one brings that up. If that happens once how can I trust going back? I'm just glad I didn't have my credit/debit card information up on PS3 at the time. Besides owning the Xbox One X (Soon Series X) and PC I feel at the center of gaming. I want to go back and play backwards compatible games from games dating all the way back to 2001that are enhanced for the One X I can. Whenever I want to see some new games I can thanks to Xbox's RU-vid channel making constant announcement for games. Whenever I want to temporarily play just about any game I want I can thanks to Gamepass at a cheap price. Whenever I want to make one purchase instead of paying for two versions of a game on Xbox and PC I can thanks Xbox Play Anywhere. It's a team that's consumer friendly (Xbox) vs a team that is consumer friendly every now and then (PlayStation)
@@ItsJust_Sins Consumer Friendly, lol exclusive games is just a company strategy to make their console worth a buy, Just look at the result for Microsoft, not just that, they (Against their will) tried to forbid used games and just out of PRESSURE they changed their minds, Thats your beloved company, Who tried to make used games a thing of the past and changed because they saw how they would lose really bad against Sony .When Xbox 350 had a lot of exclusive games, the first one to brag about them were the xbox fanboys like you then Microsoft changed their instance, The same fanboys started to say that "exclusive games" are bad practice and not consumer friendly and not even mention Nintendo who protect their IP´s even more then Sony. There are a Tons of exclusive PC Games also. Phil Spencer Said that exclusives in only 2 years, Thats came from his mouth. Not mine, Microsoft is 20 years trying to beat Sony and when they had the chance they tried to screw up everybody with no used games. Exclusives is what make Sony and Nintendo Successful, Why Microsoft dont do that now ? Because Phil Spencer just obey MS borders of directors, who are people who only care about profits and are not gamers at all. I pretty sure Phil Spence is full of goodwill but unfortunately he depends on decisions above himself. Microsoft Gamepass was just a desperate attempt to fix Xbox one fiasco. Numbers dont lie, 20 years trying to beat Sony and now people like you think that 1.8 teraflops more will win anything.
The series X has additional features not yet implemented on PC, like screen space global illumination, so for the time being its superior to the PC version until it too gets an update.

Series x takes it over pc. Nice contrast and foliage detail. At 3.05 the waterfall is very poor on both pc and series x strangely. I question the apparent evidence that there is no obvious difference between xbox one and One X. I moved from standard xbox to One X and the difference on my tv was staggering!

someone said xbox series x its on par with rtx 2080 considering xbox one s is nothing more then a gtx 650 imagine what they gonna achieve with xbox series x
When the Gears 5 benchmark was run at Microsoft headquarters the series X version ran the equivalent of the RTX 2080, but that was after only two weeks of porting the game to the series X with no optimisations, I think there's a bit more juice left closer to the RTX 2080 super, possibly more who knows!
Let me explain sumthing it’s not any better than the One X version becuz it can’t go much higher visually becuz the original software was designed by Xbox one so don’t even play this on Series X people play the new games this is an Xbox one game
