With Gears E day coming in a couple of years (maybe next year, but I doubt it), I wouldn't be surprised if they remade or remastered the Gears Trilogy.
Definitely its been too long gears of war 4 and 5 should've had beast mode but coalition chickened out on that hopefully gears of war e day has all the modes including beast mode that we all played back on classic gears of war
I'm guessing there was supposed to be a chance to have a Theron and other creatures as there are empty spaces on the selection screen, clearly about the cancelled dlc for the game

Man you've made me realize now more then ever: I hope that rumor of Gears 1-3 coming to steam is true, I forgot this game ran at 60 fps on 360 (unless it's modified in someway), I also miss the profile progression you can farm with without even playing online
This is on Series X using FPS boost (its just part of the system and certain games with the option, its all part of the system) nothing more. But the 360 version was 30 fps not 60.

Always thought is was near impossible solo, I did it back in the day with a team of people from the Gers forums, when they were still a thing also I heard Gears music start playing during wave 11 and 12 , never heard that before. Did you lay that over the top? Or is that a solo insane Beast mode thing?
Damn, doing this solo is insane. It took me and 4 friends about a month to complete this back in 2015. And the worst part is all my Gears 3 stats got reset in 2021, idk why. I want to get the Savage Theron again and the medal but haven't been able to.
I tried it solo multiple times on insane and my highest was wave 11. So I got two friends to play with me who are not that good in skill and I was using them as bait and to take shots so I can kill the heroes and give out damage. Eventually we did it and we all three for the Savage Theron Guard
I lost count of all my failed attempts at getting the savage theron. I always thought it was impossible, even more difficult than the main story on insane. Honestly you made it seem pretty doable and linear on this map, it's all about drawing them out of their defenses.
Yes it is. Back in the day when I did this I tried to DBNO the Heros that had to be executed and tried to get through the barriers in time. That was years ago and that NEVER WORKED in my favor. Basically the strat is destroy Turrets, Sentries, and Silverbacks asap because enemies get on SBs and Turrets which make them harder to kill. Then shoot and kill enemies that can be killed by non-executions (stranded/Cog Gears) or use them as bait to lure out Heroes that only die by Executions (Marcus, Dom). Whenever there is one enemy left they will rush to where ever you are unless there is a turret or silverback up, they will go to that instead of you which is also why I shoot turrets rather than the person themselves sometimes.

when i was a teen, i played this gamemode all the time, the things is, most of my teens age, i could not play with Xbox live, so, i played alone on this game mode all the time to be exact. I maxed out the medal for this game mode alone. it's seems sad, but i got my fair share of fun.
Aye man me too, I played most of my games 2008-2012 offline cuz I didn't get Xbox live until Black ops 2 came out lol, it sucks too cuz I had like 5000 gamerscore on my profile then made my xbox live account and it took all my achievements away
Same, I played gears 2 horde offline heaps as a teen then as had intermittent internet. My mum would cut the internet off by calling the telco company 😢😂
I played a lot of games offline when I was a teenager. In the end, I managed to get internet but by then not many people played gears of war 3 or other games (people switching to the Xbox one) I always tried to grind beast mode to get the savage Theron guard but always failed at the end.
Same here bro was trying my hardest to grind to get the Theron sentinel unfortunately its unlock description in the skin sections says complete beast mode on all difficulties yet when you view it through its codex system it says obtain “I’m a beast medal” which you need to complete all difficulties without failing a round. It took me 2 hours on insane with constant failures only to find that out 😂😂
Tbh part of the reason for my uploading was so people could use it as a reference cause I was having issues finding groups even in matchmaking. I chose Clocktower strategically cause its small so you don't waste too much time running after death, decent amount of cover to block sightlines so you don't have 10 enemies shooting you at once, and using DBNO enemies as bait to get the "Execution only" ones out from behind laser wires. Also I like choosing the Savage Grenadier cause if you nade tag an enemy it usually outright kills them (they don't go DBNO) even if they're a Hero... usually.
As much as I loved this mode, I hated the fact that the goal of completing it on maximum difficulty with a full team was solely for the host 😐 Only 1 time did I undertake this challenge, I would have really liked to complete this goal at the time but for connection reasons I never had the opportunity... Damn whoever had this idea of giving the objective only and exclusively to the host
I remember beating this game mode solo pretty often when i was younger. I would start out with the wretch and savage drone, then the centipede would carry me the rest of the game until i was able to unlock berserker and armoured kantus.
A neat thing i noticed with the beserker is when your in fire the beserkers attacks are way faster. And so is its run. Which if your able to get them to bunch up after downing one you can get them all in one go especially wave 12
How many people can actually do this? I can't even manage to get past wave 2. I wish there was a gears 3 specific discord. I need help with a handful of this I can't do myself.
I would add Sniper Drone to level 1 beasts. (only 4 bullets, after that each round has a 15 sec cooldown.) Grinder to lever 2 (higher cost) Theron Guard/Sentinel to level 3 (only 4 bolts, same as sniper drone but with a boltok to deal damage while the torque reloads) and Palace Guard to level 4 (More health, starts with lancer and can pick up any weapon from dead COG Heroes) Hope they give us a beast mode 2.0 someday.
How do you kill heroes when they are downed without having to punch them or executing them, i tried this the other day and a pop up would appear saying i had to execute them.
If you're really close to them you can shoot them, you basically have to be in melee range but you can shoot them. With the Savage Grenadier, if you nade tag an enemy it just outright kills Heroes (no DBNO even) most times. Which is why you see me trying/comitting so hard on some nade tags. But it has to be a tag specifically, if you just throw it, it'll just down them.
