I feel that this part of the game would’ve looked better with the grey filter they used back with the OG trilogy. Plus the blood looked way too cartoony in this.
@@Veachie that’s true but this looks way too colorful. That’s my problem. Like I think they should’ve toned it down at least so the colors looks more gritty, honest, and realistic. I definitely understand your point about the Grey filter not making sense.
They screwed up the lore. On E- Day, the grubs didn’t attack Ephyra, or any city located on Jacinto Plateau. They couldn’t, at least not until years later. For anyone not familiar with the books, cities like Ephyra and Jacinto were built on very hard bedrock, so the Locust couldn’t easily tunnel through. It took them awhile to be able to get through, but they weren’t able to attack said cities on E-day
@@jaylynbutler6393that’s the mentality of these new fans lmao. lore and story aren’t important when that’s what the entire series was built on and part of why the story modes of the first 3 are so great.

This was one of this games FEW saving graces. This and the Pendulum Wars mission. I'd honestly like to see an E-Day mission through the eyes of an average, ordinary, everyday COG Gear.
Man gears has so much potential for prequels and stuff. Idk where the hell the story is going with whatever gears 6 is gunna do but I can tell you I probably won’t love it. I don’t care about Kait or her relationship with the locusts. The swarm in gears 4/5 also sucks ass compared to the horde from 1-3. Lambent too. The lambent was such a cool third party, and was scary. The swarm look like bugs, and maybe that’s intentional, but they’re a lot less scary because of that. The horde felt like demons coming to destroy you and everything you care about, and the swarm felt like cannon fodder for something larger. While both technically are fodder the horde to me never felt like that. At least not to me. I feel like the main story should have ended with 3, and if not then I think there was a better direction they could have gone with for 4. I hate fighting robots and shit in a gears game. It’s just not fun. I wanna kill locusts, or lambent even. A pendulum wars game would be wicked, and a gears campaign that takes place all during emergence day would be so cool. It could be in real time as well. Like say the game is 10 hours long, each mission could be an hour. But in game the missions take an hour. So you’d be watching a squad going through the hell of emergence day one battle at a time. One hour at a time. God that’d be sick.
You’re beyond biased. The swarm are just as scary as the locust. They use live humans to turn them into monsters. Fighting the robots was fun too. The current story is very interesting and good. I’m very excited for Gears 6 and to see what else will happen.
Ours, gears world literally put all their money on the army. our airpower alone would completely neuter them in a manner of weeks not unlike desert storm.
I know I’m 9 months late to answer this buuuut I’d have to go with our’s. COG makes a number of strategic blunders and seems to always drop the ball. From using the HoD to sterilize most of their planet (which is probably the biggest part of why the population is so frighteningly low by the time of GoW 4) to a complete breakdown in overall chain of command by the time of GoW 3. And despite seeming to be more advanced than us in some areas of military tech, these advancements don’t seem insurmountable or even really seem to present an obstacle to modern militaries. The Hammer of Dawn seems to be their one game changer in a Sera v Earth fight, and there actually are weapons systems that are designed to target and shoot down satellites- both from land based facilities and naval vessels. My hypothesis: It would got a lot like a projected NATO v Russia scenario from another video. The COG would have the initiative with heavy handed offensive tactics, but would lose it quickly due to a combination of logistical issues and inferior aerial support.
We would smoke the Locust Horde like a fucking joint. Scramble 200 F35s and 500 A10 Warthogs and watch the Horde swallow 30mm GAU rounds. Abrams tanks run the ground campaign. Apaches and Cobras run the close ground campaign. And any engagements close to coastal accessibility would be quickly won with naval supremacy via guided missiles from Submarines and cruisers. It would be like North Korea trying to wage war on the US, only better, because the Horde comes from below, not from across the oceans.We would still fustigate them, with no help.
I'm going to put it out here, i HATE that they made the Hammer Of Dawn strike look like a shower of lava falling on your target. I like the fire from "1" WAY BETTER.
