Wow, all that effort for just one chair. I have to buy this immediately.🙈

While the single chair serves as a quick example to illustrate the boxes opening and slide-out function, you could put much much more inside of the carrier. We have customers that use this box to store e-bikes, grills, medical equipment etc. Feel free to check out our website to see reviews from other customers and see what their carrying. Obviously, if you're just carrying a single a chair, this box is probably not for you.

I have this carrier. It’s awesome! I’ve used it for 3 years now and it’s unbelievable how much it holds. Nothing compares. The “spine” that goes in your 2” receiver is very well made. The Gear Space slides on very nice after you coat the rails with the included wax. The wax is a nice touch, it’s much better than using a lubricant spray that would just get all over you if you if you brushed up against the rails if the Gear Space is pulled out. I put mine on a Yukon Denali. I modified a drop hitch so I could see out the back window a bit more. I dropped it about 6”. The Denali has the auto level air shocks that raises it up so it’s not low to the ground and helps with vehicle stability if you have a full load. We used to use a Thule roof rack and it is much harder to load and the Gear Space holds probably 3 times as much. Maybe more. It also drives much better that having the rack on top witch definitely reduced my mileage and is not top heavy on turns. It does slide out so you can access the rear cargo area and allows you to fully open the lift gate. It’s not really hard at all to access the rear of the vehicle. If you want to haul a lot of stuff don’t hesitate to get the Gear Space.

For that price, you'd get a 4x4 trailer!😆

There are definitely pros and cons to both trailer and cargo carriers. Our customers that choose cargo carriers note that trailers have to be registered, they require special attention when driving and cause additional fees on many toll ways. For long vehicles like 5th wheels and RV's, trailers may even be impossible as many states in the US have vehicle length maximum laws. The GearSpace Cargo Carrier is an extremely tough lifetime product that made from the same plastic as high-end kayaks. The carrier provides lockable storage as well as quick slide-out access which is great for getting into the back hatch of SUVS, the rear doors of Sprinters Vans, or the slide-outs on RV's. If a cargo carrier isn't best for your situation and your in need of even greater storage space, we recommend checking out our robust trailer line: www.letsgoaero.com/collections/trailers

Holy Jeezus! You weren't kidding. I read your comment and clicked the link expecting that "expensive" might have still meant half the price it's sold for. Super cool product though!
