this was the peak of "BEING GEEKY IS SO COOL AND QUIRKY" phase of the 2010's and looking back at it it's such a train wreck, People don't need to identify as Geek or Nerd just have interests and hobbies but don't base your whole personality on what movies and video games you enjoy and dating someone shouldn't be solely based on " WOW GORSH WE BOTH LIKE DR.WHO AND HARRY POTTER! WE'RE A PERFECT MATCH!" The reason these dates almost all failed is because there should be more to you than "I like Harry Potter, south park quote, i'm weird"
I think it sucks because traditional community and media is hurting, look at the volunteering scene in your area for example. Seems to stem from economic problems

Protip : Moderation. Keep Predator heads and Spider-man statues out of the kitchen, zero to maybe a small amount in the livingroom - like on a bookshelf - and a few in the bedroom. People like to feel at home where they are, and I know if I walked into someone's apartment that's super pink with Twilight statues everywhere I wouldn't be at ease. Of course there's always someone who will love that but general rule is to ease people into your personality - think of kindling to a fire - and not just smother them with it right away.
The guy that Allison ended up going on a date with, James, was my boyfriend at the time of filming this show. I dont think they went out past that. Because Mr Iron Man Sal the next year got on a show called 'Fangasm' and he tried to get with a girl on that show. Check that one out too
