This Geely Radar seems to be about the size of the new 2022 Ford Maverick released in North America in 2021. Maverick is only available in 2WD hybrid and 2WD or 4WD turbo charged 4 cylinder gas engines here.

It is relatively close to the Ranger but closer to my Honda Ridgeline. If I looked up the numbers right and didn't transpose any, here is the comparison. Car Length Width Height Wheelbase Bed Length Radar 207.0 74.8 72.0 122.8 60.0 Ridgeline 210.2 78.6 78.8 125.2 64.0 Ranger 210.8 73.3 70.7 126.8 64.0 My Ridgeline is a great useful truck without being HUGE. The Radar only needs: a) 4 inches added to overall length and bed length, b) all-wheel drive c) the Ridgeline's dual opening tailgate - hinged down and swinging to one side.

If it ends up about 550km real world range...I'll take that, probably the first practical EV that would suit me lifestyle and budget wise, hopefully Geely will do it through the existing dealerships in a couple of years and not repeat what is going on with BYD's Australian importer which is becoming farcial, a friend of mine recently cancelled his order of the Atto due to EV Direct being quite happy to take his money...then silence...ignored calls and emails...until he said I'm cancelling then they became all communicable and he said F###k that!!! It would be great if they can make such a vehicle for $25,000, you'd also mentioned an SUV for $15,000. Still comes back to Lithium. But I'd rather pay less; and see average folks have the opportunity to buy one; rather than have them subsidised. The entry level battery pack is 63 kWh - which itself costs more of the price claimed - could they be talking price after subsidy and "fuel savings?"" Can the company take major losses per vehicle to get market share? Clearly something gives.

To be fair this actually sounds pretty good on paper and the truck design is about what the American and European markets would need for a small truck but a dive in the math (Yea that math stuff is actually important) shows that this is mostly clickbait advertising at a phoney price no one outside of China will get this price and the battery on the base model is way too small to be of much real world use you are likely talking closer to 40K to buy this truck with a reasonable battery if and when it is ever allowed to be sold here in the states not holding my breath hope your week goes well.......
