@@1379andre I've seen It in real life. I sometimes feed the White Chinese Geese at my local park, they got sharp teeth, but if you hand feed them they'll be gentle enough.

It's actually not all that uncommon for drug dealers to use geese as guard animals. They aren't necessarily used as attack animals though. Most of the time, they're used as ad-hoc alarms, because when geese see something they don't like, they'll honk like crazy.

What about us? We get screwed even harder, since this is where the vast majority live. There's a whole flock that lives next to the liquor store I do security at, and sometimes they shit on random peeople coming into the store while perched on the roof.

Collies are the best way I’ve seen for dealing with Canada geese. My father’s employer had a problem with them since their offices were located in an industrial park with acres of lawns. They hired a local farmer and his collies to keep the geese away from the buildings and sidewalks. It works pretty well. Geese are very smart and will learn, and collies can be very persuasive.

i saw a litteral flock of what 20 or 10 geese in the school field just chillin and we had to look with envy as the geese took a major playing part of the school

In Ottawa the geese seem rather timid to me, if I'm honest. If you get too near their goslings on the water they just swim away. Guess it's cus' our Canada geese are just more canuck than the American ones, eh?

I can't think of many other wild animals that will, at random, stop what they are doing to start a fight with a human minding their own business. It isn't super common, but spend enough time around them and you will be randomly harassed. Also don't feed them, they won't get more tame, they'll just just become MORE aggressive. Also, their shit is pretty damn toxic even for shit with E Coli, Salmonella, Histoplasmosis, Campylobacter, Coccidia, and Giardia. EACH GOOSE CRAPS >1lb EACH PER DAY! That is more than a human adult.

Must be inherited from their ancestors. At least they've lost their teeth. Well. Mostly. The residential pond by my house put up a sign the other year saying "please don't feed the birds". I thought it had something to do with littering, and wondered why it pictured a Canada goose, when mallard ducks are the pond's main inhabitants. Now I know heh heh..
