This hike brings us to the highest point in the Kanto of Aargau. Following the Jura Höhenweg from Sattelegg to Hauenstein, we reach 5 passes, and the Geissfluegrat (Gislifluegrat). At 908 meters, the Geisfluegrat is the highest point of the canton Aargau.
Not far behind you will find the Geisflue (Gisliflue) at 963 meters, but the Geisflue is located within the canton Basel Landschaft.
The Jura Höhenweg is one of the long-distance hiking trails within Switzerland and leads from Zurich to Geneva. The segment from Sattelegg to Hauenstein is the third leg of the trail. Large parts of the third leg are located within the Jurapark Aargau.
You can reach the start of the Trail from Aarau or Frick via Bus. From Hohenstein, you can catch a Bus to Olten to get back to civilization.

Diese Wanderung bringt uns entlang des Jura Höhenweg zum höchsten Punkt im Kanton Aargau, dem Geissfluegrat. Nicht weit entfernt von der Geissflue, die sich im Kanton Basel Landschaft befindet, ist diese Erhebung 908m über dem Meeresspiegel gelegen.
Der Jura Höhenweg ist ein Weitwanderweg der Zürich mit Genf verbindet. Diese Wanderung führt uns entlang der dritten Etappe von Staffelegg Passhöhe nach Hauenstein. Die Etappe ist 20km lang und passiert 900 Höhenmeter.
Der Weg führt durch Weiden und Wälder durch den Jurapark Aargau und ist der perfekte Weg zum Wandern im Jurapark Aargau.

Eine tolle Wanderung mit wunderschönen Aussichten. Auch wenn die Berge hier noch nicht so hoch sind, sind die Landschaften trotzdem sehr schön👍

What ais the boy saying ? Is the bird chirping all the way through the hike? or did you pair with layer of music?? Nice pair of Pants, Mr. H4H...Interest charm for your protection in the mountains. Is this cultural or religious? Panoramic footage takes my breath away...wow pretty sky and this view...cannot ask any more 9:30 Well done. It is the one of most pleasant and beautiful hike. Hi Ms.Kayak7Seas, The 1k has been easy enough to reach, with shorts. But we are still struggeling for people actually watching the videos. We are still seing a lot of people pretending, but it's time to just focus on the ones that actually watch. The charm was just a random curiosity someone provided. Its kind-of the same as if you take a pet to the hospital to feel safe. I don't think there is any spiritual meaning behind it, more a kind idea of a local person. Regarding the community. We have been present for quite a while already, though I consider it of very limited use. Our time is already quite limited, given that we are both working full-time, so I can't actually watch endless amounts of videos. And despite us seing the opposite, I will just not pretend. If I am watching a video, I am watching that video. RU-vid tracks many metrics and we always see our numbers plummit after a premiere. Essentially most people don't actually watch, which is a bit depressing. The hike itself was a wonderful experience and we really didn't expect much before we went. Some of the local summits are not that impressive. But it still was a very nice day, mostly do to the fog. Thank you so much for your support and being among the few people that actually watch our videos.

I was going to ask if all that bird song was added or for real but you answered that at the end. Looked a really pleasant hike and the weather picked up nicely. One I would say very hermit friendly tho you're spoiled with the hiking directions 👍

We did cheat a bit with the birdsongs, as many of them were disturbed by other noises. So we used the segments that were clean and repeated them a few times. Switzerland is really great when it comes to hiking. Everywhere signs are showing the way and local clubs do a great work of maintaining markings. Hiking in Switzerland is really as easy as finding a route online and then just following the markers from start to finish. How is that in the UK? Are the markings remotely as friendly? I don't recall seing markings in any of your videos.

@@HikeForHappiness well most of the Munros in Scotland have no markings and in some instances no path to speak of! I have a done one or 2 with no marking or path. It can get interesting when the clag comes in and you can only see 6 feet in front of you.
