Hi, actually I wasnt using sandpaper, it was a scratch pad. They come in different levels like sandpaper, I was using grey. For heavy oxidation I like using the pads since they dont load up fast like wetsanding does. The compound I was using is mequiers #49. Its pretty gritty so dont even think of using it on a painted surface only gel coat. Also if your also buffing on paint try to keep a pad for painted surfaces and a pad for gel coat so you dont risk damaging paint.
