Stick your hands in direct sunlight and the gel will cure.

It actually will work. I e had gel cure while doing nails outside. Also had gel cure while sitting next to a window. Not recommended but it does work

What if I have no sun? What else could I use
@Kate-ip2so

There is no way for the light to penetrate through multiple layers for a fully cured product. While leaving the product exposed to the sun will usually damage it and I say USUALLY because many are packaged in dark colored UV protective bottles in case you forget you have time to perhaps save the product, there is no way to fully cure nails this way, especially a darker color. Nail lamps can be found online for next to nothing so there’s no reason to try an untrustworthy alternative. Glad this video was made for people that are always leaving reviews about their gel not drying lol!

@Its_Ya_Peace maybe it's good to do a quick google search about the sun

Yeah, I forgot for two years actually left gel out and it was still wet. I was surprised, but there was a lot of clumps.
@CandiceGoddard
@CandiceGoddard 11 месяцев назад
Where did you leave it that not even UV light from the sun could get to it over a two year period? If true the clumps would likely be dust, correct?

Mine hardems on my pallete within 24hrs. High uv in Hawaii though ahg

I wonder if going out in the sun or even certain types of light bulbs would work. It would probably take forever but you can still get uv that way it's just not as concentrated

very strong sun does work!!! i accidentally left my builder gel on sun (inside the house) and after 10-15 minutes the top of the gel (like half of the centimeter) was fully solidified

My LED daylight bulbs do cure my gels after about 24 hours on my palletes. It sucks haha

It’s true! I left my mixing pallet with gel polish in my nail kit for over a week and I was so suprimes when the gel was still a bit wet

Bullcrap. I just literally put gelpolish on my natural nail and put it under the fan and it dried. Best experiment is to do things yourself.

Are the UV lights cancer causing???
@Birdguy369
@Birdguy369 2 месяца назад
Not enough uv for cancer, but bad for your hands and cause them to age faster.

I bought gel polish and when it stayed tacky without using a topcoat, I left it there and it eventually dried itself after a day but that was after 3 reps of 60 seconds of uv
@unboundbytiffany
@unboundbytiffany 8 месяцев назад
It stayed tacky because it has an inhibitions layer, which is dangerous to leave to rub off onto your skin etc. So yes it likely cured as it's a layer of uncured polish that rises to the surface to increase adhesion to top coat/2nd layer etc. But it's not the same as uncured polish to begin with. Almost every gel polish usually has a "tacky" inhibition layer. Only no wipe formulas, top coats and no wipe art gels etc. Don't.

Just last week i was working on a client and i swatched three colours, two opaque and one sheer and in 2 mins the sun had slightly cured the sheer one. DO NOT DO THIS YOU NEED A LAMP. If you have uncured product on your nails/skin overtime you will develop an allergy to gel which also translates to an allergy to acrylic, polygel, shellac, gel polish, biogel. Basically you will never be able to do your nails again unless the allergy were to go away somehow
@unboundbytiffany
@unboundbytiffany 8 месяцев назад
Thats not true about not being able to do your nails ever again, there are hypoallergenic and hema free gel options nowadays, but it's definitely more difficult and expensive and it affects even dental work etc and is a painful itchy nightmare. So yeah agreed on first half!
@Gotye5223
@Gotye5223 7 месяцев назад
@@unboundbytiffany what she said is right… no matter if its hema free or not you can still develop a big allergy to acrylates if not properly cured, check out doug schoon’s books…

@kimm4831

You can use sunscreen or gloves specifically made for manicures. If you often use an UV lamp, it’s recommend to protect the skin on your hands.

Studies have shown that UV lamps are causing Cancer! Why would you use a UV light at all? 🤔
@rendaowe

@@kimm4831, And your face and eyes. Always protect your eyes from UV lamps, you could be permanently damaging them. Tell everyone you know to be aware of this. Suggest to them to do some research on what it can do and how to avoid any harm. Good for you for sharing the NEEDED information! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏼

That’s a great question indeed and shows great reasoning on your part. Protect your eyes hon, UV light can permanently damage your eyes so I’m glad to see someone asking these kinds of questions on a public forum. Questions like yours show signs of intelligence and may just prevent someone harm, like yourself. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏼
