Great ideas for what to make with gel prints. I see so many comments on gel printing videos asking what to do with them. Great idea to sell digital prints too, they are fabulous prints 😍
Great creations form the gel-papers (I've already ordered them and can't wait to start playing). I'm crazy liking that little binder you created - using my favorite colors too. Nice chip board isn't as easy to find here in Austin, TX, but I'm going to start looking. Have you done a tutorial on how to create a binder like that one - how to put the spine together and such? If so, could you share the link? Thank you so much for sharing with us..
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy playing with the prints. The little binder was shop bought, not handmade so I cannot help you there unfortunately x
Thanks for sharing this. May I ask what printer do you use and if it’s an inkjet or laser printer? How well do your reprints work with wet media e.g. gel medium?
Thankyou! I have a Canon TS3100 series inkjet, and used Crafters Companion Satin Finish paper. The Pixma inks the printer uses are bright and vibrant. I used matte medium to glue down my collage and it held up pretty well. I wouldn't suggest painting wet medium all over the top, but a generous coat underneath didn't cause the ink to run or discolour. Hope that helps.
I agree that that the individuality of the prints is part of the charm. This is why in the past I have been reluctant to share what I have made with my prints (as nobody else would have a print the same as mine). However as I am constantly asked for suggestions of how to use prints, I have enabled people to have a copy of these to play with, and I also have the option to come back and share more ideas using the same design in the future. Also, for projects such as the mini journal, I needed two pieces and my original print was not large enough.
