Years ago, Bopie bought Mike a beautiful piece of Teal colored Zircon, now it’s time to cut it! Watch as award-winning gem cutter, Michael Sackos, facets this dazzling zircon into his current favorite kite shaped design, “Flight of Blue.” This design was created by the late Jeff Graham. If you would like to learn how to access Jeff’s old website on faceting, watch this video: • Gem Cutting Tutorial -...

I adore kite designs, I'm so glad you cut this gorgeous zircon in this great cut. I would have liked to see a little more steps of the process in the video, I know your other videos often do, I just really enjoy those ones hahaha great video and great cut regardless!

Wow that gem has some amazing brilliance! It really pops! Another perfect cut ! Keep ‘‘em coming . I wasn’t able to make the last Tucson gem show. Do you know if there’s going to be another gem show this year? That is just as good in the US ? Thanks again Mike can’t wait till next week.

Thank you. As far as gem shows, I believe the Tucson Shows are the best anywhere. As far as another gem show this year, there are many shows all year long. I have not been to the Denver Gem Show, but I understand it is a very good show.

So as a beginner very beginner lapetus . I mean other than going to like Afghanistan and all those remote places. How do I get a rough decent rough of anything. I've looked online but I can't tell if it's what it's supposed to be. Is it kind of a ship shooter do you have any kind of suggestions for someone that's very beginning on getting rough to cut. Or maybe a site that you know his reputable would be cool. Not trying to take your business I just want something that's bigger than 1 carat rough maybe 2 carat rough. I'd like to get something that's like 5 to 6 carrots to cut. Guess I guess I'm looking for suggestions maybe some stumps and cheap. Sorry for the paragraph thank you for your time great show love watching it.

Please help me:- How to polish the amtirne without streaking

Ametrine is Quartz. Quartz can be polished with Cerium Oxide or Diamond. If you are having streaks, maybe you are using the wrong lap or using the wrong technique, or maybe you have the lap at too high of a speed...I really can't say from the information you are providing here.. Are you located near any Gem Clubs? If so, I recommend you join one...there will be cutters there who can take a look at what you are doing and give you some pointers.

@@mikesackos2208 I use ametrine polish with sink lap and copper lap with 0.2 micron diamond powder, but when looking through the lens, there are streaks and it doesn't go away.

@@impossiblenews3508 I am not familiar with Ametrine polish. .2 micron is about 11,000 grit, which would give you a good prepolish. I just don't know what Ametrine polish is...but it should work fine with a zink lap. I would say to try polishing again with your ametrine polish and zinc lap, but this time turn your lap completely off and with a stationary lap, sweep your stone across your lap back and forth, with very little pressure. That may get rid of your streaks.
