2005 Gemmy Prototype Count Cool Cat, Watch Spinning Vampire, Swingin' Drac, Zoot Suit Vampire, whatever you choose to call him, here he is. Fully restored after much time and effort for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy
Mr. Ford, I never thought I would ever get the chance to say this, but thank you! You probably get comments like this a lot, understandably, so hopefully this doesn't bother you. As a Halloween enthusiast who has evaluated and experienced props for years and years, the props that you helped voice and create are some of the best ever made, and have had a positive (and scary) impact on many people's lives. I hope all is well for you and your family! Cheers!
@@scaretactics4489 - of course it bothers me. How dare you compliment me and make me feel good! Remind me later to not say, "Thank you very much, this means the world to me," and block you. I would also wish you well and again, not thank you, but my time is entirely too important for such trivialities. :)
@@clintford3059 I have been informed that you have sent people some of your HQ recording’s that you have done for Gemmy Industries. And you have done an absolutely fabulous job on everything and I don’t understand how you can sound so amazing and accurate. And I know that you did the voice for Count Vigor. Do you happen to have the background music from Count Vigor? Because I have wanted to hear it without any words, not because your voice is annoying because it is far from it, but I just love the background music so much and I have wanted to hear it since the first time I heard your amazing voice in 2007. I know I am asking for a lot but do you also have the HQ audio for the Witch Spirit Ball too? I would love to hear it. I hope that you read this it is a honor to be able to talk to you you are absolutely amazing.
An additional thought: I am convinced this item never sold because the original song, "Stray Cat Strut," was likely deemed too expensive to license -- and the Powers that Be went with the inexplicable decision to use the cheaper "Thriller" -- which made absolutely NO sense for a "big band"-type zoot suit-wearing character. Had we paid a bit more to make the music right, I think this would have sold quite well. If the voice or music isn't right, the character isn't right. I strongly feel the final music selection was the death knell for this item. But hey. What do I know? :)
It clearly isn't a licensing issue since Gemmy made other items wiþ þat song ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ffSazZVjqaI.htmlsi=Wi6Gk6c1UX6nxy0G
This is one of those items that looks like it was pulled straight out of a cartoon. Remarkable!!! Spectacular job restoring him. It's crazy that that's the actual board they decided to put in him for prototyping, but thriller oddly fits👌
This has got to be one of the best restorations of a Gemmy item I've ever seen! Considering he was literally a vampire left out in the sun when you got him compared to how he is now. Excellent job CJ! It's too bad this guy was never released. I love the retro look he has. He would've complimented swingin skelly well.
This one is extremely cool, the design is just so unique and love how it looks, interesting how it was gonna spin bats too in the early prototype, also woah a older bunny spinner, never knew they were gonna make one back then. Wonder what it would’ve played
Phenomenal work! Just when this thing seemed to have no hope left in its prior state, you managed to bring it back to life as it once was! I'm thoroughly impressed!
I’ve literally been waiting to see this in action for years! VERY nice restoration by the way! Also I have a question about the bunny spinner; is it a prototype, do you know what it sings, and are there any other ones or videos of it that exist?
Sad to see it does not have a prototype board if you compare the freaky geek frankenstein programming with this one it uses the same board and this board is a production model board
