Since December 2022, I've been archiving every Gemmy EPROM I've come into contact with. Just as preservation. I'm up to 103 EPROMs and counting. You never know when an EPROM could spontaneously die, especially since some are really getting old. Over 20 years for some by now.
Every once in a while, I'm not exactly sure on the specifics, the file burned to an EPROM at the factory has overwritten old data. When the old data is larger than the new data, you end up with these remnants of audio and programming that go completely unused and never run under normal circumstances. I've developed a method of running these remnants of code and extracting the audio out from them.
In this video you will find all the fruits of my labor. Well, almost all...
Have any EPROMs you want preserved/ checked for remnant data? I'll dump them and send you the files for free, just pay shipping. Easiest way to contact me is through Messenger: @cj.webbler.1
If you think that you recognize any of the clips marked as "UNKNOWN", please leave a comment.
