I live in the largest Amish community in the world. Just to say the thrift stores here, Holmes County Ohio, are so different than thrift stores in other areas I’ve been to. My Bff lives in a metropolitan city. She loves the old chenille bedspreads. She couldn’t afford them new or used from her area. I started looking for her around here. She had to tell me to stop. Lol I can buy them for $3-$6! And they’re old and in great condition. I just love the thrift stores! Now my daughters, 22 & 19 love to go thrifting. They probably have more thrift store clothes than new dept store clothing/jewelry! Thank you Marie! My fav color is chartreuse! Just love it!!

Hey! On those shorts with the snag, you can take a small crochet hook from the back side of the shorts, insert the hook at the snag and pull the snag through. This kind of secures the snag from getting caught on anything and really destroying the shorts!

Hi Marie! The fabric/craft stores probably still carry an small tool that is a knit picker. It is used to pull a material snag to the inside of the garment. Good for sweaters too. You really took me back with those patterns. I remember those styles. 😊😊

If I remember right, that watch is the kind you wind with that stem pushed in, back and forth. Pull it out to set correct time.😊 twist back an forth and see if it works. It is pretty.

Such beautiful finds! Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet. You can easily get a battery for your watch at Walmart or a jeweler. Pull out the tab when you aren’t wearing it to save the battery. I’ve never played Canasta or seen the game; but my mom said it took two decks of cards to play it. I’m 71 so Canasta is a very old card game.

The card game is actually different games. The round discs are card holders. I have a monopoly game that has been with us since the 70s. I can't get myself to use it in my journals. Same with older books, and some new ones i cant make myself to rip them apart. Thats what happens after working in education for many years.

You pull the stem out and turn it then push back in, but becareful cause if you turn it to much, you can break it.

I have to be honest the thrifting hauls are my favorite videos, just because you have no clue what will be found. The patterns were a score because I can’t find them that cheap in Minnesota. I think the women’s cards were you’re greatest find today I truly love them. I have made journal covers with the actual game boards and can use almost every piece of a game set for journaling. I did notice other then the patterns it appears you’re thrift stores are a little more expensive then ours. I always love what you haul, a lot of the same stuff I do. I always buy big huge atlases for the maps and all the music books for the sheet music. I have enough now for a lifetime so need to start looking for other stuff! Love your stuff!❤
