Have '17 Outlander 1000 XMR with 6" SuperATV lift and it eats back axles (Rhinos). Had to limit strap it down to 4" of lift to get the axles to last. Didn't want to spend the money on Turner Axles yet. Hopefully I can unstrap it then.
That hole wasn’t really that bad on cam now don’t get me wrong stuff usually looks worse in person but a Honda could’ve climbed out that that’s we have mostly Honda’s where I’m from
@@lottsaquatics4385 yes you have to understand you are putting a lot of stress on those parts I own the s3 renegade I bought it it was on a 6in lift and 6in portals and 40in assassin atoms it was a beast I couldn’t drive it around the block without blowing or breaking something
you have a great following I bet if you had a buddy follow you around with a camera and do some editing you would have a ton of sponsors within 6 months or so. your channel id say one of the best for Honda and Polaris guys and can am now haha thanks for all the cool content. sucks to see you spending so much on parts I think almost every video your braking something.
Atleast your front drive shaft never broke lol that will happen though unless you get the heavier built one. So what axels do they send out with the lift? Rhinos? That just reminded me of my 570 Polaris when I had it. Snap an axel every ride.
Not on the Polaris nope. My buddy has a 1000 outlander with the 6” lift and 32” tires. He gets a ride or two in and something breaks. Actually as we speak the lift and tires are comming off and he’s getting it back to stock. Far as I can tell super atv makes garbage parts I would never buy them.
Put assasinators on it and pin it. I am running 32 assasinators on my xmr renegade 1000 w no lift and spacers. The only thing I have broke is tearing CV boots. All the Polaris and canams in my group had similar lifts broke axles regularly. They put the stock suspension and axles in and have not broke since.
I don’t know if you gotten it straight by now but I can save you some stress. Turner eagles front axles! I have the same build with 33bkts when I had the lift with stock 30s on it I broke both fronts in 2wd! I don’t feel like I know everything but our lift is really for a outty they say gade but at least the front axle is for a outty. I snapped 2sets. I ordered turners and that problem went away. Turner axles are almost 1inch longer
YOU said you couldn't hit any mud holes and ten seconds later it cuts to you in a mud hole!!!!! I know you were taking it easy but still!!! HAHA love the build. Have you done any motor upgrades? what are some bigger upgrades you recommended other than exhaust and tune?
MR mud Puppy do you have a video with the mods you have done to your renegade I just got a 2012 and I thing just doing the build like you will be good. you put lots of thought into your builds =)
Velislide pretty sure with experience that if you brake one axle it won’t stop the other from pulling just saying I believe that was the front drive shaft
Thanx for the quick reply... Love your channel! I just bought the lift and putting it in tomorrow there is a lot of mixed reviews on these Rhino axles so doing my homework for a replacement already hahaha.. What do you think of the Rhino axles
Mud Puppy love the channel and all I own a can am myself and although I love i,t it definitely still has a lot I don’t love. Slow crawling with these just doesn’t work, I’ve broken 2 heavy duty axles doing similar things to what you did in the video, going slow through mucky heavy shit, stopping and engaging again constantly isn’t a great idea in that kind of stuff, I know the general rule of thumb is the throttle breaks axles but I’d be willing to bet if you pinned it through that whole the first time you woulda made it no problems no issues, maybe not I obviously can’t say for sure, but that’s just something I’ve found out personally
Mud Puppy just like you said in the video, “this things just to tall and too heavy” exactly, it needs some momentum, sitting in the bottom of a hole allowing over 100 lbs of mud to seep into every crack and spot there is in your whole quad and constantly throwing engagement at it just isn’t going to work, with a Honda go for it, they’re light as fuck and you’ll slowly get your way through anything, you have a can am, she’s a heavy heavy bitch, and even with all that power, a bit of momentum is sometimes needed, and makes all the difference
@@MudPuppyOffroad cool we had the same exact thing happened on the first mud hole with that lift positive we had the axles all the way in turns out one popped out and snapped off the tip
I don’t think you broke them in enough, I know a lot of guys running exact setup you are some same tires some different but they go through worse stuff than that and don’t break axles. Don’t blame super atv not their fault
Dude you got a nice truck nice foruwheeler, you can’t afford a 400 dollar trailer, you don’t anything super nice just a good little trailer so you don’t have to do that
Been riding all my life own 800 and 1000 xmr olny thing I’ve broken is the belt stoping in the mud then tryna take off as you’ve just done bud cam an is the best bother drives his like he stole it no problems. What do you think is going to happen if you stop on a hill loaded then try to take off? Most likely bye bye trans just tryna hell out but if you wanna be mr know it all that’s on you bother more power to you learn something knew every day hope you get it fixed keep up the good vids
Why spend the money if you don’t like the bike. Not hating or anything but people like what they like and you sure do complain a lot about the can am. Just stick to what you like everybody is different.
For one thing it’s not a Honda dude and another thing u ever heard of a torque locker yeah maybe u should get one so yeah can’t say it’s pathetic if ur clearly bias towards the brand go check out eh tv look at him worse stuff than that never broke and axel 🤔🤔🤔 I wonder if it’s just the rider??
Welp when you sit in the mud and go reverse to drive without going anywhere you’re asking to break something xD hit that hole doing 10 and go thru it first try. Not sit and try to stress your machine. lol
You’re Gunna get all your stress off the initial rotation of everything. Not as much when it’s already spinning 10mph or more.... let alone your cakes in mud just hitting the gas enough to hurt your axles.... not move them. If you wanna know about mud come out to WNY and we can teach yah a few things about Inertia and movement.
You literally drove like you purposely were trying to get stuck and break it... not sure how else to say it haha. You purposely failed? Cuz then good job
I find it interesting how many Can-Am guys comment that I guess you guys aren't aware of that some holes are easier to go through with less wheel speed. What you should be commenting on is how crappy these axles are that it broke a front axle with like one quarter throttle LOL
@@MudPuppyOffroad SHEESH sorry dude i didn't see so wait I know you love hondas but what would you prefer that has a lot of power I only have like 7k saved up I need a boat kinda of but not also I need like a brute force something close to that do you have any prefercies
Wow seriously! Now you see why can ams are always for trade for Honda lol,you can play all weekend an have less chance of braking anything unlike this can am which seems to break easily.
Lol idk how you pulled that off but I handle bar my outty and the gade never had a problem. With angles like that ya def need gorillas to take the abuse...if ya wanna lift it properly get a portalift. Save the axle grief 👍🏽
