Thanks for the time taken to walk us through this conversion. Its a worthy conversion, as its not to far removed to adapt, well done.

So you effectively lose Mitsubishi super select and the 4H setting?

Did you use any CAN BUS systems to get the engine and transmission to work? Like the ETACS and CAN adapter from the triton? I am facing a problem where I am getting trouble code U1190, the engine does not rev past 3000 rpm and the trans is in limp mode, the scanner, a launch, doesn’t read the tranny either is says ‘’not equipped’’

Mine is manual and uses the NJ pajero gearbox. Only CAN bus items I used are the Immobiliser unit and the OBD2 connector.

Hello Daniel, I have a question. Do u had to change somethings in the differential in this conversion? And ur fuel consumption have been increased?
@devojet
@devojet 2 года назад
I didnt change the differentials. The fuel consumption is about the same or better depending where Im driving.

Well done Daniel! Very inspirational watching your video on the NJ 4M41T conversation and am very interested in converting my pajero as my 2.8 is tired.. Quick question ive noticed you used an 06 and Tony has used an 07, is there any difference between these engines and do you soloey recommend the 06 engine? Thanks for sharing Daniel Thanks
@devojet
@devojet 2 года назад
06 is just what I found a good deal on. I would have prefered a later model pajero engine as they are more powerful but the wiring would be different.

Thanks for taking the time to make these videos! Good information in here, a timely find for me (I've just recently got a 2007 Triton wreck to do the same transplant, except my gen 2 is auto and I'm going to try keep it auto). Where would I find the Triton Engine to chassis wiring diagram? I would appreciate any info that would assist. Cheers

This is the diagrams I used. mmc-manuals.ru/manuals/l200_2006/online/Service_Manual/2007/index_M1.htm

@@devojet Many thanks! Ive since found that the factory didn't necessarily match the wiring pin outs with the numbers moulded onto the connectors (I was puzzled why the wiring I had traced wasn't matching your chart, now I know!). Cheers
@devojet

@@tonygrainger1194 thanks for the feed back Tony. My charts use the pin numbers from the wiring diagrams. I never even looked at the numbers molded into the connectors.

Again I commend you mate and am definitely following you! Quick question,How do you go for rego? Is it done through blue slip or does it need engineering? Also what state are you in please? Thanks

Has anyone done this conversion and does it require engineering please
@devojet
@devojet 2 года назад
Im in Queensland and was able to just change the engine number at the department of transport. It comes under an equiverlent replacement engine thats no more the 20% bigger rule in the national vehicle modification guildlines.

Another person I know with the conversion got a mod plate for his. I was quoted $200 for a mod plate but didnt end up needing it.

Great work. thanks for detailed explanation. before I was thinking" that I would do 4m41 conversion now I know what I want to do it. What is fuel consumption like ?? Also what year was triton??
@devojet
@devojet 3 года назад
Was a 2006 ML triton. Im getting about the same ecconomy as with the 2.8L but I have only done around town driving since the conversion. It averages around 13L/100km. It also has a cheap plug in chip that ups the fuel pressure, that came with the engine, so it runs a bit richer than stock.
