What does Ukraine need to win the war? What does victory look like? Should NATO protect the Ukrainian skies?
Ukraine is not alone growing frustrated and impatient with a clear lack of decision making on behalf of western politicians. “We will support Ukraine as long as it takes” is the typical, political, catch-phrase intended to “send a message to Vladimir Putin”. It sounds bold and assuring but assumes that Russia will quickly grow tired of an atrocious war and throw in the towel. Not only is such an approach completely naïve to the Kremlin’s decision making, it unnecessarily costs a tremendous amount of lives, prolongs human suffering and does little to stop the war. This is a POLITICAL decision and it must change!
“We are supporting Ukraine enough to fight but not to win” says General (Ret) Rajmund Andrzejczak, Former Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces (2018-2023). In this candid discussion, we help you cut through the “noise” to reach a better understanding of where we are in the war and what is needed for Ukraine to succeed. General (Ret) Andrzejczak offers an unparalleled perspective on CEE from Poland, which is seldom heard or conveyed in the English language. If you follow the war in Ukraine, security on NATO’s eastern flank or simply want to know about how the west should deal with Russia, General (Ret) Rajmund Andrzejczak must be on your radar!
