I definitely understand why Sam was radicalized. He was Cate but 10x worse, he had been basically siphoned of his blood and kept in a cell just for existing. Cate was locked behind a door by her parents but she atleast got to have a childhood and then live a slightly normal life

@@DegraTrip I’m meaning the aftermath, after the Dean came to save her. She had a pretty well social life at the school considering she was one of the popular girls. Sam never got to socialize. His only moments that he was outside of the woods, and anytime he interacted with a human it was guards hunting him

@@liluziintrovert Dean Shetty never came to save her. She used her for Vought. Manipulated her cuz she saw use for her strong powers. The drugs she gave her dampened her abilities rather than really helping her. I don't condone what Cate & Sam did but considering how they were used, I am not surprised they did that. Now Vought is continuing to use them according to the news report.

@@JoshuaMartian-go3tm she didn’t use cate for vought. Shetty is actively AGAINST vought. I don’t think people paid attention but the whole virus vought doesn’t even know about, only the Dean and the leading doctor knew about the virus. The doctor even threatens to tell vought that Shetty is doing and she threatens to tell them that the doctor was the one actually making it. Shetty manipulated her yes, but Shetty still cares about Cate, even cate read her mind and could tell she was telling the truth. And the medicine did numb her powers, because Cate could read peoples minds and she couldn’t control it, so Shetty gave her the pills which disabled the mind reading. Shetty said her plan was to make the virus but keep cate safe because she saw cate like a daughter

Considering what Sam has been through, I'm surprised he wasn't more angry than that. 😁 He is an empty vessel, imprisoned and tortured no political or social leanings. That's why he was so easily manipulated. Clearly Sam & Cate will be used by Vought to do it's bidding. They seem like the origin story of the type of supes that end up in the 7.

I also think there are a few possibilities on how Marie survived. Like Molly said, something in her blood saved her. Maybe quick healing to withstand Homelander's beams. Maybe she was able to affect his blood around his eyes. Nuemen could have given an assist since she was near campus at the time. I think Neumen tried to but either couldn't or was scared to cuz Homelander warned her to be careful. Or maybe Ashley or Vought intervened and told Homelander to not kll her so they could use her as a scapegoat. Or maybe Homelander held back full power.

apparently the next season of the boys is picking up a few days after the end of the episode and the season finale of that will pass it back to gen v for season 2

I think they may have a cross over but I think their keeping gen v and the boys on their own story lines but they intertwined with each other

Yes, The Boys/Gen V creators have said Gen V's plot will lead into The Boys and The Boys' plot will lead into the next season of Gen V. The last couple of episodes were not my favorites. I understand Sam and Kate's motivations, but their turn to all-out evil happened *very* quickly. It felt like too dramatic of a change too fast. They went from living in harmony with humans to full-on, Magneto-level hatred of all humans almost instantly. I think the writers could have paced that better.

Emma shrinks when she feels small. Gen V is a parody of the X-Men. Godolkin University is Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, The Woods are The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (Ppl with Banshee powers, Nightcrawler powers, Cyclops powers, etc;) Cate is Jean Grey, Andre is Polaris, Polarity is Magneto, Emma is Ant-Man (or Cassie), Luke is Human Torch.
