MORE THAN ANY OTHER PERFORMANCE BY ANGELINA IT BECOMES VERY EVIDENT SHE IS SINGING "FOR US" rather than to us. It's because of 'who she is', a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and all of that comes through when we listen to her sing. The feeling we get inside us is something so wonderful and beautiful there is nothing to compare it to. With that said, guys, reading the comments associated with Angelina's performances is part of the whole experience of enjoying what she is doing to us, to feel the love in her heart and to be inspired to be the best we can be as fellow human beings. Each one of us feel a personal connection to Angelina and she is creating a global family of people who are believing the best way to begin making the world a better place to live for everyone is to begin loving one another. What other artist inspires us to have these thoughts? Particularly when we consider this has been going on since she was a small child.

I understand the song summertime is the most covered song in history of music. I don't think anybody's ever done it better than angelina did it this time.

You are correct, that instrument is a bassoon. It like the oboe is a double reed instrument.

Summertime at 11 yrs. wow, it was phenomenal. Can you even fathom an 11-year-old performing a CLASSIC with a full orchestra, let alone a delivery to die for, this is the genius of Angelina Jordan. We as fans of this angel are so lucky to be in the here and now to experience her.

Um, I hope you guys are actually reading your comments. I am surprised that you don't know why specifically she sings bare feet. Once again, here is the reason... Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. I really hope you guys are reading your comments and remember this important part of who she is!

She was 10 during this performance with KORK. ❤ Just as a reminder, Angelina Jordan sings barefoot during performances for a reason: to highlight all the children in the world who don't have shoes. She doesn't do it to feel grounded. If you two will notice, when she does rehearsals, she wears shoes, and she sounds just as spectacular with her shoes on. She wrote a book, at age 9, called "Between Two Hearts," regarding that incident that happened to her in the Middle East at age 6. She has an unreleased song about it, called "Princess of Ruins," that she performed at her Las Vegas concerts on February 29, 2024.

Among the artists it is considered an honor and awards to receive an invitation from KORK. Once again, Angelina (10y) proves her musical talent. Regardless of whether it is a capella, acoustic, jazz band or orchestra version, we always experience an amazing Angelina. Guys, after ALL these reactions to Angelina, SURELY you can't have missed the explanation as to why Angelina always performs barefoot ???? THAT I simply refuse to believe. You're absolutely correct that the instrument is a bassoon however. There are no more performances by her on this particular event, but she has been accompanied by orchestras on numerous occasions. Also THIS one, KORK. You reacted to her performance of "Unchained Melody" at the Nobel Peace Prize concert not too long ago (the concert took place on December 11th last year) and there, too, she was accompanied by KORK.
