#ollie #practice #skateboarding #garagegang Always feels amazing to get some good practice in. I did ollie a 5 gallon water jug first T the other day and that felt amazing. I'm working on kickflips at the end of ollie practice each session. The goal is a popped and caught, clean kickflips. Im striving for re-mastery of all the tricks I wanna do, one at a time with diligence and patience. 🛹🤷🏽‍♂️ Get out there and practice you'll be glad you did and it's the only way to get better! 🧙🏽‍♂️🛹Get out there and get those reps in! 💪🔐

Wishing you all a great winter solstice and so grateful for 1,146 subscribers!!🏆🚀 So happy to grow this community even bigger and I love hearing your stories, subscribing to your channels and watching your journeys as well! Keep shredding and stay tuned for more. It's been a long time off the board and I just wanted to share my experience for anyone looking to get back into skateboarding or even if you're new to it. I've missed skateboarding so much and after weight gain among other life issues skating just took a far back seat. Well my friends the time for regret is over because I'm back and loving it. I'm just a little bit older and heavier but with a healthy diet, exercise and skateboarding back in my life the pounds are melting off and flexibility and strength are coming back. Let's connect in the comments! 😊❤️🛹

48 now, I got to skate for at least 20 to loosen up my hips and legs to get my pop going. Once I’m warm I got ups my with age it’s taking me longer and I need more time between sessions due to a low back disc injury that flares up with too much impact.

Excellent form! Getting your ollies back can be tough after a long hiatus, but you clearly know what the proper technique is. Two things I've (re)learned since I started again: 1 you're not trying to jump off the back foot as if going for a dunk so much as hitting the tail and retracting your foot asap: less pushing off and more sucking up. 2 pushing the front foot out hard (while sucking up that back foot) is just as important as a good snap. I've always felt the advice to 'slide' the front foot can be misleading, as for a higher ollie it's more like a Lieu Kang kick. But the main thing is to stay loose and relaxed, rather than straining yourself focussing too much on putting a lot of force into popping the tail.

Those are great tips thanks! I feel like I need to be more explosive from the crouch like a quicker spring action and definitely a faster kung fu kick. If I can level at the height of my nose when it peaks. Man I'll crush my goal of waist high Ollies 😅 I love being able to watch these and go back and adjust my technique. Thanks for watching!❤️🙌

Great stuff. My goal is to get my ollies about as high as you have them now.

You may surprise yourself man. It’s a crazy thing once you hit a benchmark you end up wanting more. I couldn’t even Ollie in the beginning so anything was progress for me. Tag me in your next video brother, keep shredding!❤️🛹🤙

What’s crazy is most people I skate with think that an Ollie is harder than a Kickflip which is crazy to me but keep killing it Scott ! They are looking proper ! 3:55 👏

Oh word man thank you! Yeah it's debatable like a beginner roll over flip might indeed be easier than like a thigh high ollie. But doing a proper popped and caught kickflip isn't. You kinda need that solid ollie foundation. Few different ways to do kick flips it's all fun though! Keep shredding brother! ❤👊

That’s sick man, Congrats! Keep at it you’ll get it. Whatever age you are it’s always hard because skateboarding uses such a different range of muscles and the timing for an ollie is unlike anything, so be kind to yourself. You got this bro tag me in your next skate upload! ❤️🛹✨

Dude, that board looks pretty small, is it a short wheelbase? Maybe a bit narrow for your foot size? Easier to flip of course :)

No I don't think so, it's 8.25, size 12 shoe and my shoulders are square with my feet when they're on the bolts. I wish it was easy to flip!😂🤣🎯

I tried 8.75X32.25, I low-key hated it. It's now my filmer/cruiser set up. pretty good🤷🏽‍♂
