All 3 of you are carrying the generational gap so beautifully. It is so nice to see the exchange of thoughts from different generations and it is so common. Whenever in a family all different generations sit together these conversations are very common, we enjoy these talks a lot at the family gathering (laugh and criticism 😂). Looking forward to more episodes. I'm sharing with my mom, Nani, bffs and inlaws.

Though for ages women have faced closed mindedness but what should be appreciated and seen as sign of growth that Ammaji chose to evolve and became part of @salonayyy's journey and she is open to understanding what new generation is proposing and what changes would be better to adapt. This is the best podcast in terms of theme/topic and questions. India really needs more such podcasts to evolve the mind at mass level. Great work again team @salonayyy 😊

This was so relatable and real and how all 3 generations have faced patriachy on their parts and you cant really blame anyone its been passed down since generations and we dont know what they have faced but still theyre willing to change is appreciatable

Dadi is amazing!!!! Sometimes it looks like she's bombarded with questions and back to back points, but she's tooo cuteeee on how she answers. She's from another generation, hats off that she's trying to change her for this generation.

We get liberal ideas now, which is a good thing, but it's because our parents gave us a good education that provides us with opportunities. Now we question them: Why weren't you guys liberal or open enough in your days? Things change with every successive generation. It's not that our previous generation wanted to be reserved or conservative; it was a way of life at that time. Rather than question our adults for their conservative behaviour, we should respect them for providing us good education and opportunities.

Don’t judge Amma ji, pehle parents ladke ke sath rehte the aur betio ke ghar ka pani bhe nahe pite the. Inke age ke log us concept pe chal rahe hai, lekin ab vo nahe hai. Ab vaisa nahe hai tho don’t blame them. Lots of love and respect to Amma ji and Aunty ji.

Our mother tells us about the wrong behaviour of my aunt and his husband (father's sister) My sister was the first child and she was born through C-section and my aunt and his husband don't even look my sister's face after her birth and for god's sake they are blessed with two daughters. Beti ho ya beta vo hai khushiyali ka pitara ❤

My grandfather was a progressive person. Because of him all of our family lived in the most liberal and egalitarian manner. One person can change mindset of many. I hope this reaches more ears👂🏽

What a podcast much needed for genz vs 90s old people ......the perfect thing to learn here is our parents all credits goes to them who made us capable of differentiating between what is right what is equality . Saloni, kudos to you to think out of the box when it comes to podcast realm. And even including family and talking such good issues and difference in generation in such a beautiful , unfiltered way is clap worthy. Such kind of podcast are something I would like to show my children to make them understand the difference of generations and there thinking and how beautifully the grown-ups blend themselves with the current generation and at the same time, the current generation respect the grown-ups . So it is like meeting at the middle point . As I said earlier, it’s like breath of fresh air, keep it up and looking forward for more fresh content .

My Dadi, Naani would have been more than 100 years old today, 108 and 106, respectively. But they were not at all discriminative about boys and girls. My Dadi would say, Baccha healthy hona chahiye. She educated her daughters in English medium schools because she felt girls need a better education because “it’s a man’s world “. My Nana Nani were simpler folks , but even they didn’t discriminate ever in upbringing or celebrating a baby girl’s birth.

Maybe one more question could have been asked that if unfortunately a woman's husband dies then she either has to live a completely dull life or people judge her. On the other hand, if a man's wife dies, at least his social life is not significantly affected (I am saying this without judging anyone's feelings towards their partner.)

I think the podcast you create infact every single content is very real nd original, but i genuinely feel Ammaji as my own Ammaji but she has been from a very different nd difficult time which they've gone through nd grown with still she has changed herself with the time. The fact is that your dadi doesn't know that much about content nd all still she contributes a lot I think she should not be misjudged only the thing she's yo be given is love.

Yes its true that our grandmothers thoughts are quite conservative but other than that there are qualities in them that we should adopt i.e. resilience and modesty that they have. We should progress but shouldn't forget our values at the same time. Amything in extremes is not good neither too conservative nor too liberal but a good mix of both.

Whatever the point of views of amma ji it can not be changed. And thats totally fine because thats what makes her ammaji ❤❤ Like she has lived her whole life with that point of perception... I never had my grandparents so sometimes that makes me sad. But amma ji rocks..
