Two undersized icons. Lol. Kelly was the man in STL. Taught this baseball town the game of hockey starting in 1968. The Blues finally won the Cup this past spring, and 500k showed up for the parade. A baseball-only town no more. Thanks Dan, I know you enjoyed it up in heaven!
I’ll bet Dan and Gene enjoyed some fine steaks and Scotch together many times. Dan was known as a real gourmand and frequented the best restaurants in all NHL cities. Unfortunately, his cigarette smoking finally killed him at the too-young age of only 52.
Two of the all-time best! Time Ryan was also a great broadcaster along with the Hockey night in Canada guys Danny Galivan and Dick Irvin. Brings back great memories. Thanks.
