I saw KISS as an adolescent in '74 at a local Atlanta record store, Peaches. Not Gene; I won't say who was falling down, had to be carried, drunk. I've paid no attention to them since and am happily stunned at how sensible and needed like fresh air Gene Simmons is. I really enjoyed hearing him speak. Who knew he would be the voice of reason? Can't explain why this pleases me so much.

While I disagree with Jerry Springer’s position here, I can’t help but to be humbled by how fleeting life actually is. He was definitely ill in this video, but he articulately sets forth his conclusions. If you had told me that within roughly a month or so of this interview he would have died from his cancer battle I just wouldn’t have believed it. He may not have seemed the picture of perfect health in this interview, but to me at least, he didn’t also seem like he was literally on death’s door. Amazing (in a sad way) just how fragile this thing called life truly is.

I believe a mental capacity test should be put into place for all elected officials regardless of age. The results to be made public but allow voters decide. The test results go along with filing for candidacy (not after).
