Wow, this is so touching. The pain of having sick parents at a young age and the constant anxiety, fear and guilt that comes along with it is dismissed so often, and not easily understood by most people. His words perfectly encapsulate the feelings and effects of such experiences on some children, which are carried throughout their lives. The feeling of freedom that comes with playing different characters via performance is otherworldly and relieving. Thank you so much Blank on Blank for these videos, they are so inspiring and profound. And, thank you Gene Wilder for the magic, movies and the memories. R.I.P. ❤️

The man was and is a legend. My father introduced me to Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks and we've bonded over all there movies. The way I see it what made Gene Wilder a great actor was not what he said but how he said it. Whether it was with a hand motion or the emphasizes a word or a phrase it just sticks with you. He and other comedy legends we have lost will always be missed but never forgotten.

Weird how much he dislikes the F-word considering all the films he made with Richard Pryor. Also remember watching this interview in its original cut and he had to take rather a lot more time to answer the questions. Still, some absolute classic films of a style that is no longer made.

Richard Pryor had a way with the F word. In his possession, the word was sometimes superfluous like with anyone else, granted. However, oftentimes Pryor just knew how to use that word properly, for maximum effect. Pryor wielded the F word like a young Errol Flynn wielded a sword. Once you've heard the best, everyone else pales. Perhaps Wilder doesn't like hearing other people use the F word, or similar colorful metaphors, because most people use profanity like a child playing with Daddy's gun.

Yeah I heard the newer 2013 Interview on YT w Robert Osborne-A MUST-but he was def a part of the 1970-1980's scene of R movies like STIR CRAZY and partnered with the KING OF THE F WORD, THE GREAT RICHARD PRYOR! I mean, C'Mon! but this is what getting older does-skews perspective and how innocent things were-UMM YEAH_NO!!! But we love gen regardless and want him back in SOMETHING-ANYTHING! Its been TOO FUCKING LONG! SORRY GENE!

Without at least seeing other leads, it is not possible to say that with any certainty. Acute pericarditis also presents with ST elevation which can be *identical* to that in an acute MI, but in all leads instead of just the leads that correlate with infarcted tissue. Lab work, echocardiography and angiography don't hurt, either, but at face value, there is not enough info in that one strip to declare it is without a doubt a STEMI. I have seen too many ER docs jump to this conclusion because they could not recognize a pericarditis EKG. There, I have done my pedantic deed for the day, I feel reasonably superior to everyone else in the world. Time to go sit by myself in the dusty basement and hurt from the loneliness and darkness that comes from being an internet corrections agent. 😔

Gene loved Gilda til she died, and he always will. A greater brother there never was. I'm so full of dark beer. I must tell this to you Brandi before I pass out: "These will I give to you, Brandi, an armlet of frozen gold. Gods cut from the living rock, and carven gems in an amber crock, and a purple woven Tyrian smock, and wine from a pirates' hold. Kings shall kneel at your feet, Brandi, emperors kiss your hand; captive girls for your joy shall dance, slim and straight as a striking lance, who tremble and bow at your mildest glance and kneel at your least command. Galleys shall break the crimson seas seeking delights for you; with silks and silvery fountain gleams I will weave a world that glows and seems a shimmering mist of rainbow dreams, scarlet and white and blue." Where's my bed.
