I have gone trough 43 of this, my tips to yo going trough this for the first time. Relax, breath deep and relax. The more you inhale oxygen into your body before you go under, the better you feel after. The more you don´t fight going to sleep, the better you feel after. Best regard from a Sweden, I have gone through hell and back + Brain Arianism , and I am still alive, and I wish you the same. I had an enyarisma in my brain. Live long an prosper.
I had to have surgery for a shattered wrist. Seriously, when they tell you to count down and you breathe once, three hours magically go by and you’re in the recovery room. It’s an experience you can’t really describe.
If anyone is scared of general anesthesia, yesterday was my first time ever being put under. It has been one of my biggest fears and yesterday I over came it! Be honest with your doctors, and relax. Believe me I was having a panic attack. It is honestly one of the easiest things I've ever experienced. I just remember talking to the doctors and next thing you know, I was asleep, the next minute I am awake again healing talking to the doctors again!!! Don't be afraid. You will be okay. It doesn't hurt or anything, and you will be fine. You won't even remember :))
This is absolutely amazing. Haven't been able to use my dominant hand since I was fifteen. Saw Orthopedics on Friday and my surgeon is going to multiple things, including tendon transfer to be able to maintain hygiene and some use. Can't wait!!! I am having regional and general.
Amber Dennis it’s not really that scary, once you have it done! Hopefully watching videos will help. I also work in the field, if you ever want to chat. Good luck!
Ok so I just had all 4 wisdom teeth removed a week ago, I was under general anesthesia and as this video stated, my throat did feel a little sore, I don't know if they put the breathing tube thing but I don't think so, I had an oxygen mask. And also, i did feel shivers and felt kinda cold, I even asked for a second blanket hehe. But other than that I feel fine.
Marissa whitelaw there may be a little discomfort afterwards, but it’s not too bad. When is/was your surgery? If you haven’t had it yet, good luck! If you did have it, how did it go?
I am having a second reconstructive surgery on my leg in 2 years, my 18th surgery in total and it never gets any easier...it is very scary giving your life over to someone else and hope they didn't sleep through med school lol but in all seriousness, I am very nervous and scared for my surgery and being put under in 2 days. I hope I survive to give an update: )

I had general anesthesia last week and had no problem. I fell asleep in 4 seconds and woke up in the recovery very tired, not drugged or nausea. No pain from the tube but I could see a small scratch back of my throat
