I like the slightly more down to earth fights of og DB to be honest. Once they stop showing even the movement of the fighters in Z, I feel like they're not trying as hard as here
It worked in Muten Roshi, so that's not it. It relies fully on him being powerful enough to procc. his skill. If the opponent power is extremly higher, it won't.
except master roshi was around the same strength as tao at the time. What they neglect to mention is that a forte of the crane school is mysticism and its connections to ki, although it's barely mentioned. Tien has done things like using psychic powers, Chiaotzu exists,
@@Dislike-kq9uq if I remember right, it was a gag crossover of Toriyama's properties. Blue flew to the Island , terrorized everyone, met Arale, had no idea how powerful she was and got blown away, saving the day.
No, probably something similar to when hit tried to stop Jiren, too much of a power gap. Considering blue was around 50-60 while tao was around +100, blue had no chance.
Of course not, Tao's power level is just to high for Blue. Gimmicks like magic, hakai, and other BS only work if you're not weak enough for your powers to get canceled. That's a rules as old as DB itself, I was expecting fans to know it by now.
@@gavan1735Goku lost against Blue because he wasn’t able to manage his psychic powers. Blu was weak about physical and technical stuffs, far weaker than Goku. Tao Pai Pai, instead, was an expert in Psychic powers (he was The Master of Chaozi).
To be precise Blue liked em young, really really young, he didnt seem the type to really let another man defile him, or him doing the same to another man...he wanted to be the one at the top looking down at someone smaller and younger than him.
Super is shoehorned in and doesn't count. We're in the good times here with classic Dragon Ball. Let's just enjoy this classic here and leave the shit for the bugs.
@@Ishida1694 I actually liked the return of Frieza, the tournament and all the attempts to make the logic a bit more sound in DBS; far from perfect, I would still deem it a decent product.
Logic sound in DBS? Are we talking about the same show? I think Super introduced the characters having warm up sparing in base forms against guys who can beat them in their third form. Which would be the same as hitting a stone wall in terms of what was established before. I think Super makes us believe that Android 17 can get equal to SSGSS by simply training on Earth with no gear. And I think it is in Super that Kabba and Caulifla get their SS2 form after just a few month of training, while in original DB it was barely possible for the prodigy Gohan after a whole Namek and a year of Time Chamber. What exactly was there made to add more logic instead of ruining all the previous one?
How can we forget when Gol D. Roger murdered his own son, Portgas D. Ace, with his tongue. (these are the voices of Tao Pai Pai and General Blue, respectively).
Tao Pai Pai really was the most evilest villain in the franchise. Luckily he wasn’t a main villain otherwise he would have definitely been worse than King Piccolo
Not even close. Tao Pai Pai is a brutally efficient assassin. He will kill you only if someone hires him to kill you and he will do it quickly and mostly painlessly. Piccolo Daimao on the other hand will kill you for fun and he will make it as slow and painful as he possibly can
@@somerandomnon-importantper3219 Tao Pai Pai actually killed on his off time when just traveling around. He finds the only satisfaction to use his skills is for killing and making work with his skill is just a bonus although he definitely does enjoy killing as much as King Piccolo who just does it to show how powerful he is not out of enjoyment. Also Tao Pai Pai not hesitating at all shows how ruthless he is
@@heckinbasedandinkpilledoct7459 he has had assassination attempts and even if runs across anyone that gets in his way he will end them. The character doesn’t have to have all of their life shown in panel or onscreen
One guy said if he used the thousand years of pain technique on him with his tongue. Their is some things my brother's people are never meant too see and never meant to read. The horror
I have to admit the first time I watched through Dragon Ball, Blue caught me completely off guard. They managed to play it off as a joke without being disrespectful. You know a lot of Eastern humor can be boiled down to "he's gay, that's why it's funny". Bulma is kind of slutty in Dragon Ball and she uses her female charms on several male characters in the series. That is until Blue completely rejects her. It's been awhile but I recall Blue actually insults her.
dont you realize? when tao pao pao ask amount of money to fight(kill) blue, and the gang leader approve it...and blue ask tao to use weapon.. and they all are in the same room...talk like that like there is nothing happen its so mental...
@anantchandak9574 i am too. They are. I know it's hard to believe but toshio furukawa has amazing range. He also played ace in one piece, hantengu from demon slayer, shin from fist of the north star and many more. A talented actor.
Bro, check your facts. There are more tournaments in this part of the series than in the one covered in Z. In fact, from the saiyan saga onwards there are just 2 tournaments, and one can't even be called that (the Cell one is just a regular fight against the villian disguissed as a tournament).
@@BravoDox Well, yes, but I was speaking of the original run of the manga. Even then, the Cell saga tournament wasn't even a tournament, just a fight against Cell with a ring for the first 1/5 of the fight. So we have 3 tournaments before the Saiyan saga (21st vs Mutenroshi, 22nd vs Ten Shin Han, 23rd vs Piccolo) vs 2 tournaments in Super and half a tournament in the Bu saga (the tournament wasn't the goal, but just a way to introduce us to the plot of Babidi & the kaio shin). Even adding Super to the mix, Dragon Ball is still a lot less focused in the tournaments post-saiyan saga than it originally was.
@@ScouterSSJ Well let's look at it season by season: DB: 1. Pilaf Saga ❌️ 2. Tournament Saga ✅️ 3. Red Ribbon Army Saga ❌️ 4. General Blue Saga ❌️ 5. Supreme Commander Red Saga ❌️ 6. And Broly and Super Hero, I guess. Yeah, you have a point.
