His 1 pip straight up wins games, I love grievous a lot, no immune pierce and no force slots def can be a hindrance, but scale and relentless give him straight unparalleled mobility. All in all great Character competitively and fun!
Grievous is my favorite mini from Legion at the moment. I assembled him with 4 arms and without a cape , but I plan to buy another core set when it comes back to stock and will assemble him with a cape, a lightsaber hand and gun hand. When I play with the CIS I bring Grievous as my commander, I have to try out the Esteemed leader tactic to keep him alive a little bit, in my last couple of games due to some fantastic defence rolls he didn't make it into melee..
Botond Torok I did the same with my Grevious. Have my cloak/blasted one and a 4x sabed one waiting to be painted now. Eager to get him onto the battlefield
Well said; I was looking forward to this. In my personal experience with only a courage of 2, bar a great amount of LOS blocking terrain, Grievous is at a huge potential to get hit with a ton of stress (and as he is not a droid, will lose an action, which is mitigated by relentless but still). So I basically never leave home without strict orders and endurance. I really would love to try out hunter or even tenacity but the risk is too great- against imperials especially where they'll do all they can to stop him from breaking into their lines. Really a fantastic unit though, it's easy to see a lot of thought went into him and the CIS army as a whole. I'm really enjoying running a Double the Fall variant with Dooku, using him like a mad dog and being tricky with who my commander is for each turn. Though admittedly in all my games, Dooku ironically gets fried first and Grievous usually ends up cleaning up at the end- or running away up on a wall and shooting with relentless then scooting away.
Noah Smith Yeah, I too play Imp Suppression on the regular. I’ll be honest, when I talk about Legion I tend to get a bit biased as to what faction you’ll be facing, and tend to assume Grevious will be fighting clones. But yeah 2 Courage is a prety bug detriment.
Offensive Push only works on “a movement” meaning only 1. It doesn’t give you Tactical 1 for your entire activation. Also Tenacity only gives 1 red die for melee attacks, not ranged attacks. So if Grievious uses his 1 pip for a ranged attack, Tenacity does not apply, but when he does a melee attack with the same weapon, he does get the extra red. Great analysis though.
