Getting your fluid changed, using HPTuners turning off TCC lockup 1-4 and setting your slip rate table to 0 across the board you won't have any more issues with shutter and it being jerky when changing gears. Unless your TCC is already burnt. But making these changes may buy you time with a burn TCC before it has to be replaced assuming you can't get it replaced by GM. Also disabling DOD displacement on demand is a good idea while you are in there. After these changes the engine and trans will be vary reliable. Your local tuner shop can make all of these ECM/TCM changes for $300-$400. Well worth the money for the reliability and peace of mind it will give you. The 8L90 is a great transmission after these changes are made.
@@Dusty_Bottoms_ These transmission are super sensitive to changes like shift times and pressures. I regularly tow with my changes listed above at max towing capacity and have yet to have an issue and it drives night and day better than stock. Also I no longer have to worry about the torque converter burning up.
What you need to do is to design a better transmission the 8l90 it’s a garbage having issues since I buy my gmc with only 3500 miles they never operate at it should
