GENERAL SANI ABACHA 1994 MILITARY REGIME ACTIVITIES THIS PROGRAMME COMPRISES INTERVIEWS WITH MAI TAMA SULE DAN MASANIN KANO, ADAMU CHIROMA, MARYAM ABACHA, REV. MATHEW KUKAH, IBRAHIM TAHIR TALBAN BAUCHI, ABUBAKAR RIMI ETC
His economic policies was top notch, security was guaranteed and I doubt anyone believes that Abacha didn't love Nigeria. What they said he looted is chikini money compared to what politicians are looting now, yet no security & economy is on a downward spiral.
Late.General.Sani Abacha was a lion and a leader with zero nonsense tolerance that loved Nigeria, and it people. Not like satan and the cow we have now. RIP Gen.Sani Abacha
There is nothing good about this man , he is a crook and a dictator, who stole money , he took power by force, his human rights records was terrible. , he didn’t leave any legacy nor did he contributed anything to the progress of the country. The reason you people are praising him is because, Nigeria is currently been ruled by an illiterate man who is equally useless.
@@victoredwards3959 Well, Nigeria has been rule by dictators even before him till this very day. During his time that was no terrorist or terrorism, bandits, kidnapping, ethnicity cleansing, fulani herdsmen killing innocent Nigeria at will without justice, He protected Nigerians, He didnt take nonsense from other countries mistreating Nigerians without him speaking and fighting for them. Yes! He was a ditector so what? All the bad leaders like Obasanjo and others like him that wanted to distort his government and conspired with the foreign government like America and England he arrested them and he luck them up! Just because he refused to lick the feets of the wicked and barbaric colonial masters they write all the nonsense you guys read back then about Abacha and they called him a ditector because he refused to lick their pink assess. He was real man and bold as a leader that didnt let the poor and innocent Nigerians to be slaughtered like goats and sheeps in their sleeps or awake. Salaries were paid as of when due, food stuff in the market were at normal price that any common Nigeria could afford, No qeue at the filling stations like what we see today. We got stable economy, Naira has value compared to what you guys have today? He paid off all Nigerians foreign debts and we had money in the world bank reserved for niferuans. Things were strictly discipline and no time for nonsense and when this useless America and England saw how he was going they started writing nonsense and rubbish using some betrayals in Nigeria to do it. The same Obasanjo Late.Gen.Sani Abacha imprison & Prof.Wole Shoyinka ran to exile they used back then against Abacha is still same supid set of people that survived like stupid professor that gang up against Goodluck Jonathan with that stupid old fool Obasanjo in 2014/2015. They supported an illiterate you talked about to be Nigerians president today. They vehemently condemn Jonathan's government and now look at where you guys are. The stupid clown an illiterate has given you a good governance right? Blind Nigerians that can't see ahead. Where is the international community have they come to save you guys with all your Twitter, & Facebook? Because they want you all to remain like that and be coming into your country to steal your resources while they keep masterminding what is going on in your country. You keep twitting and keep posting on your Facebook pages they ain't going to do anything for you because people like Obasanjo, professor Wole Shoyinka on other like them are still alive and they are their agents and they lick their colonial masters pink assess. Chai! Blinded Nigerians...
@@joannakolawole2378 Yes he was. During his time was there kidnapping, terrorism, and fulani herdsmen?, What was the value of Nigerian naira or currency at that time?, He paid all Nigeria debts and Nigeria has money reserved in the world bank, price of food stuff in the market were at normal price that any common Nigeria could afford. Security was tight, no useless or nonsense and heartless killing. Or you just judged him by what people told him or what the foreign media wrote about him back then.
Maitama Sule, my man. Spot on! Abacha should have allowed Nigerians to judge him and give a scorecard. I'm not moved by his words because he was tyrannical, ruthless and feared by all.
Well I hope you are happy with the current so called democracy .and I believe you were not even around during abatcha regime ,but the present you are so judge based on what you have experienced .All Nigerian infrastructure s was from the military era only to be renovated by this new political thieves that were elected into office .if this is what democracy stands for then to hell with it
Whatever one does; good or bad criticism will always come up. This man is confident, in charge & meant well for this country coz intent, honesty & truth will always be identified unless one intentionally refuse to acknowledge. Despite all odds & western influence he steered this country in a different direction(Asian Tigers) & achieved positive results. Allah ya maka rahama my General. We lost a good leader.
Gone are the good days but we hope for the better ones ahead, the only late president that love his nation outermostly.... even and still sending money to it, just recently he sent $100m. Thank you sir and may Allah have mercy on ur Soul.
of course you do! why do you are a Northerner. yet he made your people poorer than any any other place in western nigeria, perhaps except chad an Niger
as I, always thought, we have a great challenge ahead of us, I'm afraid we have a long way to get ready for the challenges, artificially created to undermine our efforts for development. we need to think otherwise!
his generation is for the most part. in the 1950s, it was mandatory to learn multiple languages. the colonial powers did not understand the african languages, and in order to succeed in the education system/employment system, the Nigerian had to learn multiple languages. Most Nigerians did not look at this as a hardship, they were eager to learn as much as possible..and the opportunity to learn English was very fun for them, reading many many books and plays. Abacha's generation was taught to not only be fluent in English, but to be able to speak fluidly and with finesse. The only good thing about colonial rule was that the teachers. Most of the teachers did their best to teach the Nigerians/African children to be very intelligent so that they could be successful in life and jump over the colonial obstacles. The colonial governments were angry because the teachers were passionate about educating.
@@sabot4ge I usually marvel when I listen to ojukwu talk. Not only was his command in English excellent, he also had a good accent. You would never know where he came from.
Shame on you, you have lost sense of what is right or wrong. That’s what happens to us Africans we get used to being led by corrupt leaders that we end up hero worshipping them.We don’t have any example of good governance, so anything goes. They lie to us and we believe
@@kaleemy3k365 isn’t he the guy who commissioned the killing of Ken Sarowiwa for speaking up against environment degradation. How can a country be stable when such things happen . Just because it didn’t affect you personally doesn’t mean it’s a small matter. I remember then the whole world was repulsed by this. That’s what I meant when I said our brains have been numbed and we accept bad acts from the leaders . It’s a shame really , even if you support him you must remember the families of the likes of Ken Sarowiwa and stop glorifying evil

The man who love his people and spoke well about his people. A man who knows the use of power. A perfect leadear. I love him to the cure. Buhari won't speak good about us and just killing his people.
A prefect leader for Nigerians indeed! But his enemies were driving hate-wagon still be dragging selling lies, just to Tarnished his image... but, as He says, we’re Nigerians and we’re wise....
@Ayedun Jossy Oladipupo keep reading history someone wrote mugu. If you were not alive when this man ruled Nigeria then you can keep ready fake history they gave u to read
@Ayedun Jossy Oladipupo that’s the best way to run a country before the country can have a better future. The current government of Nigeria is worst than abacha government. Abacha did his best because he understood that Nigerians can only be govern with iron hand. His government made Nigeria to be well organized. Our currency was stronger than ever also security was 💯 best. I hope you remember sleeping outside your house during his time in office but you can’t do it now.
I would have judge him by his many speeches here if political leaders words was the same thing as their doings, but it is not. Some people will watch buhari speech years from now and think he was a good leader, the same mistake they made in 2015.
General Abacha believed Nigeria had the human and material resources to develop itself and would have done so within a period of 20 years of uninterrupted peace and stability as Alhaji Sule Maitama Yusuf highlighted @ 22:54. Apparently that achievement was beginning to manifest in a micro spectrum in the Nation's economy (not quality of living) shortly before the General's exit. What a loss. RIP Gen.
People are commenting that he was a good leader because you guys have seen the real devil in bubu, (ogoli nuo di n'abo omalu nke ka mma) meaning if a woman married two husbands she will then know the best one.
you need to read about him. The image the government painted of him was all lies. He met the Nigerian foreign reserve at $500 million and in 1998 when he died he left $9.6billion dollars in just 5 years. And during his tenure he didn't borrow any money all the funds were generated in Nigeria. And talking of he stole public funds at least he did alot for Nigeria, The PTF we are shouting up and down was created by him, Most bridges and infrastructures were built by him. Please do you research before coming at him, We lost the only person that had a vision for Nigeria.
Speak intellectually which I'll like to want to assume are able to do so. If you're an intellectual individual yourself then you aren't representing your fellow others very well.
If you aren't then I'm very sorry and would advise you to sit down, keep quiet and watch the Late Head of State and learn how to authoritatively speak like him.
I believe now many nigerians can see the difference between lies and truth.we have been enduring hardship for long and been feed all kind of lies about this man but truly is that the real deal .that is our own to research and findout and believe me when you are truthful and do the necessary research you will find that we have all been mislead to believe some lies .truth will always win against false

Propaganda at its best. Lest we forget! The Human rights abuses and the circus around the military junta needs to resound this season. Lest we forget, the press sit down with a military junta in a civilian attire was all a ruse. This RU-vid clip is an embellishment of history, with all due respect to the poster… just because there are sprinkles of patriotic talks here and there doesn’t mean we’ll turn a blind eye to the torment the military junta put our beloved nation through… he as well as Babangida either ruled Nigeria at a wrong time or were just psychopathic narcissist; and many would agree it would have been better for Nigeria if they were never born.
