General Tso's Chicken - that perfect combination of sweet, savoury, spicy and tangy with crisp Chinese Chicken bites. Chinese takeout favourite that's just all round good! PRINT RECIPE: www.recipetine...
I gave my daughter all my recipe books(Nigella, Jamie Oliver etc) this weekend. Your my go to for all my recipes. Will be trying this one for sure. Made your Kofta yesterday, it was the best. Thanks xx
It’s crazy how much better, easier and more full proof a lot of RU-vid recipes are compared to those cook books (which I also have but never use). Between tineats and Marion I think more than half my meals are covered.
@@PeterKontogeorgis And I agree 100%. There’s something to be said about seeing it made rather than reading it off a page. Especially when trying new things. Takes the fear out of using unfamiliar ingredients and techniques. I never cooked Asian food at home until I started watching Marion’s Kitchen. Another channel I like and have used recipes from is Spice and Pans. Great instruction and to the point. Happy cooking!
Peter Kontogeorgis Nagi is my go to as well! During this COVID no dining out time, I’ve been working my wya through her recipes. They are ALL my new favorites. Tell me, who is Marion? Link?
@@HaggisVitae You can find Marion's channel here ru-vid.com/show-UCN1h109PDDp_wYIFsoWmZrQ Predominantly asian, her recipes are just as fullproof as Nagi's and generally techniques are easy to follow. Enjoy!
I didn't know this recipe and cooked it the same way for the first time yesterday. It was delicious! It actually seems to be more common in America. Here I have never read this on the menu of a Chinese restaurant.
Where do you live? It is very common where I live in North Carolina, where there are lots of "New York Style" Chinese Takeout places. You know the style once you see their large single-paper menu with lunch specials listed at the top, the place is takeout only and run by a family from Fujian Province in China. They are always no-frills and have a very generic sounding name, usually consisting of 2 of the following words: "China", "Dragon", "Express", "Wok", and "Cafe". I've been to lots of them and they rarely disappoint.
This woman deserves the Nobel Prize for feeding the world with bits and bobs of a lockdown cupboard .. even the dogs benefit from Dozers treats! Raise a glass to Nagi ❤️❤️❤️
This recipe doesn't taste anything like Chinese take-out General Tso's that you get in the USA, but it is rather good. I find this recipe is much better suited as a beef/chicken and broccoli recipe instead.
I'm sorry, I've tried other of your recipes and they've been a success but for some reason this one just wasn't. The sauce didn't taste like General Tso Chicken. But I did like the chicken bites without the sauce, so it wasn't all a waste...
Would it be that much more work for you to just put the measurements when you list what the ingredients? I don't think that people that do these food videos really realize how aggravating it is to have to stop and look at the recipe instead of just being able to follow along with you. Kindly consider putting measurements thank you..
