The mysterious number on the wall, "2012". It was a promotion for Madrid to win the Olympic bid in 2012. This tennis court is also an indoor hard court made at that time. However, London was chosen for the 2012 Olympics. In a final vote in 2005, London was finally selected after a contest with Paris. London, Paris, Madrid, New York and Moscow competed for the 2012 Olympic bid. Madrid passed the third round but failed to reach the final runoff.

age is always the determinant factor. Surprised Roger hung in there for the last hurrah. But he will always be known as the Gentleman of Tennis - always graceful, humble, good sportsman. Collecting slams is good but being known as the true ambassador for Tennis, only a handful can claim.
