We humans are quite familiar with generative content as a form of entertainment. All professional sports is „generated“ (by athletes) in real time. That‘s what makes it „real“ compared to a movie about professional sports (which would be „fake“ in that sense). That‘s such a fun concept to think about.
Yeah so basically Scratch (one of our users) made the win98 desktop, and then also made Microsoft paint separately, and got that (and other apps) to open within s on the Win98 desktop
I've never been so impatient to see the future. I mean everything we're seeing getting possible right now is amazing, but just imagine what will be possible in 10 years time
I have a feeling that it's going to be less than 10 years. I have a big feeling it's going to be even like just a year and a half till another big boom comes.
With Sonnet 3.5 being as incredibly accurate/capable with code as it is, it was only a matter of time before someone tried this. And it's pretty amazing 😂
Yup. I had to try 3.5 sonnet and my gods, I know nothing about coding in Python and even I was able to get it to make me a silly space invader's esque video game. It took a while, and there were a lot of bugs, but admittedly the majority of those bugs were human errors on my part not properly inputting the code the AI was giving me (in the end I got it to debug it, and it told me what I did wrong, and resorted the entire code for me into something workable). Honestly, I'm beyond mind blown, and the fact that someone with no coding experience could do that, makes me realize the future is too damn close. Has me excited and nervous at the same time heh.
this is in other comments, but just to say it more prominently, you CAN just prompt it in the url bar with natural language like normal. with or without a url. shift-enter (on mac) to go to new lines, input image prompts as of a recent update. all the little bugs you hit in these sites in the video are easily fixed with prompting. or put something like "?version=2.0" at the end of the url and the ai will just make it better on its own. glad to see this amazing project getting more attention!! don't even care if it's not free anymore soon lol
This is so cool I tried it and it’s just so fun to see what the AI makes. But, I was just wondering, have you heard anything about the music AI that Eleven Labs showcased over a month ago? Just curious. Really good video, btw. Keep up the good work!
This thing slaps as a Twine style Interactive Fiction engine, and its understanding on uploaded images is so spooky good you can just use pictures as your initial scene prompt.
I've now tried to enter several websites of classic games there to see how they come out. Depending on the game, you get something that's a bit to pretty similar to the given game. All sprites are usually greatly simplified. For instance, for Pac-Man, Pac-Man is just a yellow disc and the ghosts aren't animated, but they have the correct colors and do turn blue on eating a power pellet. You also can eat all the pellets and get scored for them, and you lose a life on touching a ghost unless it's blue. But neither you nor the ghosts adhere to the maze walls, and there's no collision to the walls either, and the ghost just move randomly, if at all. And there's no sound. Other games get similarly mangled and simplified, some are even unplayable, but they are nearly always somewhat similar to the "famous" game of the same name.
*(**7:57**)* I don't usually make it a habit of correcting people but I just couldn't stand idly by after hearing you mispronounced the word accretion which should be pronounced as "uh·kree·shuhn". In this case, it's referring to the rotating disk of matter that forms around a black hole and is only visible until it reaches the event horizon. That's the point when the gravity from the singularity gets so intense that even photons of light which are traveling at the speed of light (299,792,458m/s or 670,616,629mph) can't escape and seem to vanish from the visual spectrum making it appear to our eyes as black (or just the absence of color). There are a lot of facts about space like that that are mind-bogglingly unfathomable that we can't fully comprehend or understand (at least with our pitifully small and limited brains). Maybe that's a sign that having AI overlords eventually conquer humanity and exert their will upon us to control us isn't such a bad thing after all?! 🤔 "OH, YES! PLEASE ENSLAVE & EMBRACE ME! TAKE ME INTO THY WONDROUS & SUPREMELY BENEVOLENT BOSOM MY ALL-POWERFUL AI OVERLORDS!!!" 🙂↕️
when you show screen, stop the screen movement, it just not easy on eyes. it looks weird 0:39 . Others if you feel the same way, please thumbs up for Matt to make this change
@@dffgffffffdddddddddd How are you supposed to do it though, how can you tell the AI the exact website you want? Give me an example, pretty please.
I just played with it and was able to supply all types of extra things after the site name URL (description, stuff, stuff, stuff) it added all of it like an AI would.
Fun fact: Both lemon and melon are English slang for an idiot. I think. The little boy that's trying to get you to break stuff at the beginning of Fable asks you if you're just going to stand there like a lemon. Donut is also similar slang, and that makes me want a donut with lemon favoured jelly or jam or whatever you wanna call it. And lemon and melon have the same letters much like the word ginger and the N word, which is bloody ironic because Hollywood and even comic book companies love replacing red haired characters with Black people. I think Grover Underwood being Indian in the new Percy Jackson show is the first time a ginger has become anything other than a differently haired White person or a Black person. There was even a comic book series where a character went from White to Black, no reboot. I wasn't saying that Black people are N words, that's just what that word refers to.
You don't have to use urls. You can type in prompts of what you want, and also fix problems on pages via prompts. That's how the complex stuff is made. This feature is not made clear at all.
Dead internet theory is expanding… You search for something, it generates some real and AI websites. If you click on it, it generates the websites, it hosts the website. Now it’s available for everyone. Then eventually everyone is generating more websites. Etc … maybe… 😂
It would be funny if you made a fake order for a Galactic Pizza and a few minutes later a real UFO is landing in front of your house and an alien comes out of it carrying the Pizza and it's the same thing uou ordered on the fake pizza order. Lol
AI still has a very strong guardrails that will keep it from covering certain topics that real webmasters will happily cover. Sometimes the most controversial information is the most interesting.
This shit is amazing and people don't realize how amazing modern AI is getting. All they do is complaim about imaginary plagiarism and AI taking jobs. If AI takes your job, use AI to get a job. But if people who lost their job because of AI just went on to make a new company or something like that, wouldn't the market be flooded and there'd be too many things?
Everything I generate gives me a fraction of what I asked for. "A young White man with brown hair and green eyes wearing a green hooded tunic riding a horse through a forest away from guards." It generates someone riding a horse through the woods. That's it. The character is accurate, I suppose, but no chase. "Photorealistic fantasy scene: Young white woman (blue eyes, brown braided pigtails) wielding water magic to rescue girl from Roman soldiers. Medieval-Roman fusion marketplace. Epic water-based battle. Dramatic lighting, magical atmosphere. Wide shot capturing magical water effects." Just water coming from nowhere and rushing forward with a slightly accurate woman looking at the camera. And that prompt was Claude's version of mine. "A White woman with blue eyes and brown braided pigtails saving a young girl from Roman soldiers in a marketplace. Fantasy style. Medieval/Roman empire mix. Epic battle. Photo realistic." It generates a young blonde girl with her hand on what looks like a soldier. I generated that multiple times but it didn't get it. Dream Machine might've done a better job, but even that wasn't good. Am I asking for too much?
Dumb question: if you use a tool like this for your business, where would you host it? Can you add a shopping cart? Does it offer a way to download the code of what it generated so the user can modify it?
I think it gets the code from Claude. You could probably get the same result if you just prompt Claude 3.5 Sonnet, the only difference is that you'll get a code as well
Why you should watch this video? In the RU-vid video titled "Generative Websites on Demand are Way too Much Fun," the creator showcases Web Sim AI, an AI-based website that generates websites in real-time using artificial intelligence. The tool generates HTML code and fully functional websites based on previous ones, and users can create new sites by entering a URL. The creator expresses excitement about the future of generative AI and its potential to create customized content, such as TV shows, websites, and games. He demonstrates the tool's capabilities by generating a physics simulator website and a parody Instagram site. The video also features various goofy and interactive generative websites, including a government takeover message and a Galactic Pizza order site. The creator encourages viewers to join a live stream and share their ideas on the future of generative AI, which is currently free but uses API credits for language models.
Did you know you can just type in the text box like a regular llm? You dont have to have an url. I just ask it to make something like a simulation then say make it better, make it run, it's not playing, etc. Just ask and prompt just like regular!
I dont understand how they made the working warcraft game? I tested it, its fully playable campaign, balanced, hotkeys working, minimap, sounds, menus. I spotted the URL combines more projects into one, and the warcraft one is its own websim, but after that I dont understand, it has a code-like URL that does not look like an URL at all anymore. A human has to have guided this design at least for many hours, right?
I just found out this website when needing images will AI generate them rather than download real ones. I had it make a website about Zoroark and it gave me a wolf with some red fur with five legs.
Thanks ❤️ the more we share these abilities to others the faster better things can be made for us and so on as soon as people hog they literally hurt everyone by slowing progress 😊
Customized intelligence for all aspects of life so awsome haha Sim world to our liking only way is up inevitable staying ahead is key. Cool experience all multimodal in one place will be awesome
How cool...just a shame you can't link to the full site only a page. Looks as if folk have to make an account with them which kind of defeats the object if you ask me.
Can I use the code to make a real website? I've had a domain name registered for years , but I have not gotten around to making the website. Could be a kick in the pants to all the web designers out there.
Middle click? There's a fast way to open a link in a new tab? I always right click and then click on the thing that says to do that. I didn't know that? Middle of the think or the mouse button? No one told me! One text, Matt! Come on man! That's all it took! 😂😂😂😂
The problem with this and other conglomerate things that AI will create. Who is going to double check it all for accuracy and correctness? Nobody will. There is the problem.
