Majority of generator controllers use the oil pressure switch to detect if engine is running, so if you have faulty oil pressure switch then the controller might expect to see that switch open when we shut off engine but if its closed then the controller is still thinking that engine is running. Simple
I had 6010 controller with fail to stop alarm . I change 3 vdo10 bar oil pressure sensor but still the same condition... suddenly it fail to stop gone and then I can run it. After 5 second again stop and show stopping and cannot be reset . After timer goes out I had fail to stop again .... what shall I do?
Hi sir , what happens if the generator is starting via a relay and through a direct wire but does not run on its own it requires one to hold accelerator and once you let go of the accelerator it then switch itself off. I also get the fail to stop alarm. The generator doesn't not start via the control panel. . Where should I start checking? Thank you
You shouldn't have to by pass it? Depends what controller you have but when cranking remove the oil switch wire and that should by pass it but you shouldn't bypass it unless you want to see metal lol
