Story Time: The longest I've went in GRG as a leader was 4 days, I don't know if that's good but based on my experience, it is. I basically did it by distracting people with random "motivational" speeches since most of the people there liked the idea of fascism. But then the council got very corrupt and they ruined my control by allowing violence and rioting and then I got killed. Definitely not a surprising ending.
I survived 15.15 GRG days and I died because of one cringe Guard who kept chasing me for 4 GRG days. Medics luckily healed me, and I did provide the town by making it rain like 10 times. Luckily I was kind of like a beloved leader
I once survived for little over 16 days by doing the exact same thing but I got the people angry at the council if they started threatening me and people just killed the council
1 Day I BECAME LEADER And I Put 35% Tax 30 Wage And 3 Dolars For Food And I Died By A Greedy Dude KILLING Leader Só He Can Become Leader BUT I Was LOVED In The Town Só When He KILLED Me They Executaded Him And When He BECAME LEADER Evrybody HUNTED Him
Well..... I only lasted even less than 4 days. Because of my choices even though I did 35% tax. I feel like it's because they hate my look or something, I don't know, but I also made food price free too. There's really no reason why they would riot me and try to get to my pole because most of them do.
Personally, I find being very talkative & outgoing with my people makes them form a personality cult type deal around me, friending them also gives them a sence of loyalty, which is good. Also policies like food will always be free is a good way to build trust with your people, and never ask for praise.
"don't let other players control you" that's kinda hard when the council member is holding a good sword against you and telling you to vote "no" to the "council members pay taxes" law
Best way to rule: Keep all branches in even power (guards can vote but make them pay taxes). Ask people what they want and take advice from others. Make friends with guards, councils, and janitors. These people can kill you and you want their good side. Also, make sure there is people on every branch. If you want more doctors, make doctors have no tax or no free healthcare.
The worse 2 ways are: No democracy: You tell the council to vote what you want. Power chain tangling: Making a branch more powerful than the other (this would cause assassins from the branch that is demoted)
All of these tips came from my personal experience and of these tips I use have worked most of the time during my reigns of course its not guaranteed as no strat is What I do whenever I'm leader is to immediately make a promise to the server that for every diaster/event that happens I will rain money afterwards so if we survive a barb raid that killed a few people then I will rain money about 2 to 3 times If its a barb raid that we did very good on defence and no casualties happen then I rain more money to praise them for there loyalty Also remeber to make food about 5 or 3 bucks and tax to be about 20 to 30 also wage should be at least over 20 or more The second thing I do is ask people what they want/change and if jts rational then ill do what they want as long as us not manipulating or damages my reputation as leader for example if people want best hammer or better gate or food I can do that for them but if its best sword or guns then I won't don't so Third thing I do is not to treat them like objects or well not to look like I don't care instead I will always treat them as equals or at least like peers this create a relatable leader because alot of the people will think i care for them and I know what they go through And my fourth thing I do is to make sure I appeal to most of the working class I belive in no free health care as all tho people may not like that the docs will and as long as I promise the people a life of profit they won't really mind much if theres a council I won't give them taxes but I will still let them be able to be arrested same with guards and to also promise to kill or get rid of all landlords to make everyone on the same side as landlords are minorities that everybody hates And my fifth thing I do is not to follow or trust anyone unless I've had good relations with them for the duration of my gameplay before I became leader because this will increase my survivability and reduces the chances of me being influenced by corrupt individuals And lastly is to never threaten or scold the people like a parent if u make a threat to punish them if they do something then they will see u in a negative light and will try to kill you so instead give them compliments rain money if there's no events in the past 20 minutes and make sure the people don't feel like looked down pesants
@@vertus977 ok so what happens when your alone with the gaurd and suddenly he pulls outs a sword or gun I mean anyone can act loyal and gain your trust its not that hard heck even I do it sometimes when I want to kill a bad leader Yes the guard may not attack you now but once your low or alone that's when they attack its grg everyone with basic knowledge will most likely kill you with every opportunity they get And also putting your trust in someone else s also risky even if there loyal because now your lowering your guard thinking your guard will protect you always which could be risky a for any assassination attempts but without a award your way more carely with every choice and movement that's why I have rule 5 to keep leaders alert and quick thinking and not to set up there own death trap Also you don't need a personal body guard most of the time guards will happily arrest anyone breaking a law especially near a leader since arresting near leader grants a extra 10 bucks so there's not much of a need for personal body guards
@@chitosetakaki9385 i dont lower my guard, i only flee after 5-6 days.by then, ill develop a relationship with the guard to make them feel the need to protect me. I also get a good sword before i flee
The longest reign I have ever had was about 8 in game days. I managed to balance the tax, food, and wage perfectly, I got the citizens everything they needed to create a functional economy, I had managed to balance the rules to avoid corruption but not be too strict, I had 100% approval a bunch of bodyguards, I had made friends with the important figures, and everything was going fine. I never had asassins chasing me and the citizens had pretty much became self sustaining. The reason I died was because one of the council members got annoyed that I wasn't being strict enough. One of the guards had voted to make buildings reset when a new leader came, and one of the council members got really annoyed and wanted me to shoot him, but I gave him another chance. Everyone seemed to be fine with it until eventually that one council member tried to convince everyone to make it so he couldn't be arrested so he could become corrupt, but when that guard realised what was going on he tried to kill the corrupt council member to prevent dictators from taking over. When I didn't kill the guard because I knew he did the right thing by trying to prevent corruption, the council member started saying that I was against the council and that all I cared about was helping out the guards and citizens, and not long after that council member tried to assassinate me. I had a good group of bodyguards going, but eventually the corrupt council member started convincing the citizens that I was too soft to be a good leader and that they should start causing chaos. After a while, my guards were too busy stopping the corrupted citizens from ruining the city and my internet had became slow, meaning it was the perfect time for the assassin to strike. I had gotten a best net and a kart and was about to head to my hiding spot, but the assassin jumped down from a house and took away a chunk of my health with a best sword that he got with robux. I got in the kart and sped away, but the assassin had planned ahead and he put a bunch of angry citizens in my path, meaning that I had to turn around and find a new way to escape, but he was waiting there and killed me with a musket. Next time I will try to be less involved with the politics and the council, and instead either pull strings from the background to keep peace and stop corruption, or put the city in a place were it can become self sustaining and then escape to my holiday destination were I can stay until I get bored or some kid with scripts send a bunch of teleporting bots after me.
storytime, one time i managed to make the tax, food, wage balanced and still have money in my pockets, the citizens were happy, almost everything was bought and i had a pretty good amount of praise, but then some random guy started saying that $5 for food was too much and killed me- and when i got taken off my leader position a poor guy became leader and people weren't even getting their wage.
Pro Tip: People really want weapons so get swords, NOT GUNS, I repeat get swords, NOT GUNS, because if they have guns they can just shoot you from some tower close by (like the houses or the shop area) and due to a new update, guns can stun people making it deadly
I gave up on being leader. My story: So i was just playing grg and there was an anarchy where barbs literally took over the city. Then when they were gone i became leader. First i tried to fix all the stores and stuff like that. Then some dude wanted a best axe and i bought it in like 5 minutes. (Note that my appraise was like 5% because of the previous leaders) i also bought best hammer, and best sickle and also bought good food. But thats where things got worse. Some guy was rioting with "we want no tax". When my appraise hit 0, i placed wages to 2 because losing money like that is too much (note that i food was still 5) and then they were just using a glitch to jump on my place to kill me. Then i started to run and explaining how if they want more wage they need to praise me, but they didnt care. So some doctor with sword killed me. Even some barbarian asked "what did he even do to you that you killed him". That barbarian was probably the only person with a brain on that server.
One time i got 100% approval because last leader was brutal dictator and destroyed everything so i rebuilt everything and upgraded everything to max with 50 wage 15 tax and 0 food price. But i went a little bit broke from upgrading amd buying too much stuff
I was in reign for 6 days, I was so close to being broke and my approval was only3% until I tried to inspire all the people that I will start from zero and climb to the best striving economy, I was beloved and I got 100% at my 6 day reign, the council loved me too but I died from that tree giant.
literally, i was a good leader and everyone liked me had a wage of 80 tax at 10 and bought anything they asked for... AND THEN ONE PERSON BECAME A BARB AND KILLED ME BECAUSE I LET GUARDS VOTE.
I usually don’t go for leader,I just do peaceful house life and avoid other endeavours, but whenever I get leader I usually don’t care and hide in secret town entrance and do tax 100 wage 0 food 10,or I do my best
I was leader for 5.1 days, and I died because a janitor stabbed me. I then became leader again after buying a gamepass and ruled for 1.2 days, so in total 6.3 days in one server.
Top tip for being leader: HAVE AT LEAST 10K MONEY, TOWNS DO NOT LIKE POOR LEADERS. Also make guards vot3 so council cant corrupt (Lasted 9.5 and 7 days with this on the 7 day i died to tree lord and 9.5 day i resigned cause i gtg but i did murder everyone after resigning xd) ALSO ONE LAST IMPORTANT TIP: ALWAYS HAVE A ALLY THAT U KNOW WILL BE THERE FOR YOU, WILL GUIDE YOU AND HELP U IC THE TOWN WANTS U DEAD. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP FOR LONG REIGNS.
My longest was 8 days and the ppl were happy with me!! But it was a really bad idea to buy rockets :(( i scared of getting killed by the crusader person cuz those guys usually kill ppl when they dont get what they want so i bought it out of fear (it made me lots of money tho lol)
How to be best leader: Step 1: get car Step 2: get max net Step 3: *RUN* Step 4 : tax 100 wage 0 and food 10 Step 5: just try to sruvive from people chasing you
It’s not going to last as soon as they become smart they’ll just make it 0% approval meaning your just trying to live for nothing as you get no tax money
I was able to go in a empty server and start with people joining, the second guy joined stayed until the end with a jester that turned into council, I had only 5% and 20 wage and 0 food but everyone liked that, I also did a money rain every day I survived, I retired on the 10th day because I was tired of being a good leader
To be the longest leader you can purchase rockets and destroy the rocket shop, and thats it, you can't get food, cuz if u do, barbs will attack u, Just get a fishing net and o fishing IGNORE TREE LORD CUZ TREE LORD LVL 100 KILLS U WITH ONE TOUCH, u can try to catch him at axe store and then ignore him If u have an xbox, U ARE LUCKY, u can turn off the crossplay and then u will play on empty servers.
idk how long i survived as leader like 5 days? in that run there was a guard who tried to kill me but i was armed with every best weapon since i teared down the existing weapon stores with mukset and good sword but a hacker barb joined and killed me
If I was a leader I would buy 3 player kart and raid barbarian village with my guards and if someone asks to lower tax I will raise it and get all types of loot from barb village and make money
dont forget the tip if someone is telling you to follow him/her becuase that happened to me that one guard is telling me to find help and hiding place and this tip must be found that one leader i found hiding under a bridge eating fish and staying there that i question him why is he hiding there and he answered me "Assainations"
Next leader was just afk, died. Leader after that was obviously a tyrant, died. Leader after THAT was afk Didn’t get to see the rest, accidentally left the game. I kept rubbing it in about how I should’ve been kept in power.
@@susiedeltarunedistinguished you shouldn't give your citizens more than $20 wages, since they'll likely just start sitting around not doing anything. Also the taxes are way too high, you should always keep the taxes low.
