In this video, I finally got around to purchasing and installing an intake manifold riser for my Genesis coupe 3.8. Thanks Dustin Davis at 3point8performance for sending me out a quality product such as this. I really appreciate it! The install of the manifold riser wasn't too hard, and can be done within a few hours.

I'd you read the magazines that reviewed our gen coupes , they are about 99% on board with the automatic being better. Beat time sin the qmile was achieved with the 8 speed autos.

You cut out the part where you actually lifted off the intake plenum (upper intake). I'm trying to get mine off right now. all hardware is removed but the thing is not budging and feels glued down. Any tips?

You sure all the bolts are off? Two directly on top and 6 around sides, plus two holding wiring harness on top and some hoses

Hey bro, did you or do you have a problem with 2nd gear lock out? Or is it just for the 13's? I'm looking to see if after I get the tune with the megan racing tanny mount, through alfaspeed if the lockout will go away?

Wassup, I definitely was having transmission/shifting difficulties before those mods and engine leash. But it seems like it’s very minimal now. You can check out the video where I went to the track and see exactly how it went for me😅

Hey man, i see you have the short rams intake. For our bk2 cars for a true CAI we are basically limited to 3point8 version. I did however adapt a bk1 Injen true CAI to my 2013 3.8. without reseting the ECU i installed and tested this on a dyno. Picked up 9 hp and about the same torque. I'm sure once the ecu adjust I would hit the advertised 13 hp/tq I can send you the info I'd you like? Basically you buy a 20 adaptor and that's it. Let me know.

I have the same cold air intake and I’ve heard that they suck in hot air is that why you put the heat wrap around it and did that work??

I put the tape on it to help with the heat soak, but it’s not really a fix for it. It helps a little but the initial air is already warm. Just get a true CAI or make one custom, it’ll be a lot better

Hey love the install video, Quick question tho, how come they ask not to put the engine cover back on? Is it because since the raiser would push everything up a lil more and the cover would not clear the hood closing?

Did you have any fitment issues with the hood? Noticed that my intake tubing is hitting the tube slightly. I think I might have my engine leash a little too tight.

Soy Sauce helps out with midrange torque, you definitely can feel the difference as well. And lightweight? I’m not sure about that
