From the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary event. First and only time that the band did that... meanwhile Mike has played some Genesis songs live from time to time.
This video has no copyright, and i'm not receiving any money from YT so there shouldn't be any ads, if there are, then is YT doing it, but in any case, i won't receive money from this video, once i get elegible for monetization, i'll disable it here.
Edit July 19th 2023: After a little bit more than 4 years, this video finally got copyrighted. Back in the day i had uploaded 3 of these videos, Genesis playing Tony (still up), this one (still up) and one for Phil that got instantly copyrighted so i deleted it, and now the turn was for the Mike stuff, but i won't delete it, if it had happened 4 years ago, this wouldn't exist now.

If i recall correctly, everyone that night was feeling pretty good and it was more of a party than a performance. Phil forgot the words to In The Air Tonight in the middle of the song, and during Tonight Tonight Tonight they lost the beat during the chorus. It wasnt just Genesis, but many performers that night. Alcohol may have been a factor. 😂

I remembered it, but I didn't remember about the troubles that Phil had while it was singing it. It seems that it was poorly rehearsed, at least by Phil. Which was the Tony's song after this?

When seeing things like this, it becomes QUITE apparent why Phil's voice became toast. This song is entirely out of his range and rather than lower it, he's doing it in its original key. Singing out of one's range is dangerous and it killed his voice.

I actually don't care for Mike and (o +) The Mechanics also, i also think that this effort was pretty weak yet not as bad as The Lamb being played by Peter's band.
