@Bali Breeze While the Ashkenazi have a high percentage of Southern Italian admixture that doesn't mean there weren't any Jewish women in Italy 2k years ago. Prior to the 70a.d there were jews in Rome and once converted you are a Jew
Ok, then I am probably Italki Jew but I have never been in Synagogue as I am from Sweden and my parents were leftist who did not like Israel. Ancestors from the East and West coast of Gothic Sweden. The West coast I can trace one Jew back 5 generations and upper class Major in the Army. The East Coast descendants have been working at the harbor. Never met my dads dad who left early so they were raised in working class environment forced to live in adopted families for a while. The East coast was traced back to 17th century with someone arriving by boat probably from Poland.
Just like Yiddish is a hybrid well are hybrid in. I t a l a k i m is a hybrid of. Italian and Hebrew nothing more nothing less as a language stop being so paranoid
It has nothing to. Do with that it is its own tradition in Italy of Judaism during world war II became well-known about we were sealed in a ghetto by Mussolini as a people
In the 17th century Italy as a people we have been around that long we were shoved in world war in a ghetto by Mussolini as a people we were immigrants part of us were Jewish part of us were Italian we enter married and we were shattered in the ghetto anybody who seemed outside of Mussolini's Norm was placed in that ghetto to die but we rebelled by building a wall over the ghetto in the back when Mussolini found out he was angry so you had it chained up all year round but once a month we were only allowed to get food once a month in the city after that it was a locked by Mussolini and his men we didn't have a choice in the matter
