@@rockymom624 Storage space is storage space. You might have thought: "Ok, I'll put that there until I figure out where it needs to live." I think we all do that to some extent.
I just moved into an apartment with the smallest bathroom ever (seriously, there's no floor space to even put a trash can) so some of these are great options for me! Thanks!
The ceiling shelf is great. We had that in our first home, all through the house. We had an old Cajun home with high ceilings. We had young sons at that time, and I had all my breakable heirloom stuff up there. It looked great and kept it well out of "oh no!" territory as they were toddling and growing. :)
It's actually quite good because oir laundry room is in the bathroom there is more worktop space to do laundry and the toilet isn't extremely close to the bath like our old bathroom it was quite narrow where you can understand a certain way and you were only comfortable if you're standing inside the bath or shower

Thanks for all of your ideas. Based on your suggestion, I wrapped 3 toilet rolls in light blue tissue paper which I had on hand and placed them in a pretty wooden box (which I bought at a garage sale for 50 cents) and placed it on top of my toilet. The other 3 rolls easily fit in the vanity, but 6 took up too much room. Problem solved!!! I love what you said about the feel of going into a custodial closet!
We use molding from the hardware store to "frame" the clip on mirror slabs. You can do this with glass glue or the picture frame command strips with the velcro if you're renting.
The only big bathroom I lived in was childhood home. Almost all others were less than 6' x 6'. Great job 👍👏, I like the little pockets in the beginning of video, the rollaway, high and standard shelf ideas. Marble look is so trending currently. Thanks 😊☺️👍
Man, I wish I would've had some of these ideas back in 1989 in my first apartment. Since then I've had many, many small baths to contend with. Thankfully, my current bath is wonderfully large, I just put a beautiful 5x7 rug in there and it looks fabulous. But even with all of the counter (and drawer!) space, it's still cluttered. Trust me, I appreciate all of the organizing videos you offer!!
As a single mum of a toddler with a tiny flat/ apparetmemt, I live for your tips and tricks ❤ so hard to keep on top of mess. My bathroom is sooo small so exited to maybe try some of these 😁
Babies require a lot of stuff and also rotate through a lot of items. I’m always needing to clean out, store, donate so much stuff. I can’t have anything out or in their reach because they will get into it. I also have many tiny toy plastic pieces scattered all over 😩
This was a great video, with some good ideas! I've lived with a tiny bathroom for many years, and it was a bit frustrating until I realised that just because something is bathroom related doesn't mean it needs to be stored in there. There is no reason to need more than a couple of extra toilet rolls stored in the actual bathroom, or to keep every towel you own in there, or to store all of those duplicates of toiletries etc. My best advice is to find some storage elsewhere in the house for all of those things that are just being stored and aren't actually in use - for example set up a box with all of the toiletries that won't be used until the current one runs out, and store them somewhere else. Before you try to invent ways to store everything in a tiny bathroom, look at how much you can actually move out of the bathroom without being inconvenienced too much. The less you store in a tiny bathroom, the bigger and the nicer it will look. Also, any open storage needs to be cleaned regularly and this can be really time consuming when you have lots of bottles of lotions and potions out on display. It's much easier to keep the room clean when these are stored away behind doors.
Exactly! Our only full bathroom is probably 5 feet by 8 feet. And it's for 6 people. The vanity is one of those thinner ones too. Basically we have a trash can, the toilet brush, and I use a paper towel holder stand next to the toilet that holds 3 rolls of TP perfectly. Under the sink I used mini command hooks on the inside of the doors to hold those white skinny baskets she showed (for our hair brush, Bobby pins, etc). We have command hooks in our shower for our Norwex body cloths. My husband and I keep our towels on hooks on the back of the door and there is a small towel bar for a hand towel. Our 4 children have their towels on hooks on the back of their bedroom door. Oh and we also have a medicine cabinet mirror in the wall and I put one shelf above our toilet. Everything else, extra toiletries, medicines, hair clippers, more towels, a giant pile of TP, are all in our larger bedroom closet shelves. 🙌🏻
If you have the fake looking drawers in your bathroom then buy the kits for maybe $15 for a set of two and turn them into small flip open storage areas. Could be renter friendly since no damage is noticeable. But it creates room for holding hair brushes, sponges, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Oh my Goodness! I Love, Love the idea of wrapping the toilet paper in tissue paper. I have five bathrooms in my home so I have a lot of space, but from an organizational point of view this is genius, especially in guest bathrooms. Thanks for sharing. (Darci)
My bathroom isn't small but it has the worst layout, ie no closet no shelves and the vanity leaves a lot to be desired. BUT it has high ceilings.. weird, I know. So I'm definitely going to be adding some shelves above the door and other areas. Thanks for the ideas!
I bought a plastic over the door shoe holder that has 24 slots from Walmart $12. Hung it over on the back side of the bathroom door where it doesn't show from the hallway. Perfect for extra bottles of shampoos & liquid body soaps, cans of room sprays etc. And is easy to wipe down & clean.

Love those baskets I have those in my bathroom drawers! We also have a laundry closet in our bathroom so I’m gonna use some of these ideas when we redo it!

I am lucky that in my current house we have 2 decent sized bathrooms...more space = more stuff at least for me. I prefer the smaller bathroom we had in our old house to be honest. We only had what we needed and used and the space was very intentional. Now if I could only discipline myself to return to my roots...maybe someday 🤣🤣🤣 Have a great rest of your day 😊
I have those Dollar Tree organizers you showed for the drawers - but we use them for our silverware. :) We can easily fit knives and serving utensils in them, so they are the perfect size for silverware. We originally had ours in a drawer in our china cabinet, but I just did a kitchen purge and I was able to fit all 7 of them into our skinny kitchen drawer. (7 because I separate big & little spoons, but & little forks, regular & steak knives, serving utensils).
IT SURE DOES ! My tub is so big i wear a swimsuit to clean it because im going to end up wet anyway lol! My husband looked at me crazy the first time he saw me come in the bedroom with a swimsuit on, cleaning caddy, swim shoes, vacuum cleaner, sweat ban, and mask LOL! He annoys me peeping around the corner while im bent over cleaning lol! He watching from the mirror smiling from ear to ear. What really get him is i use an old toothbrush to clean the bottom of the toilet. He does help when i get to high places my shower head cant reach.
Had a big bathroom compared to now!! If it has a tub and any kind of vanity that's a good size or normal. I have the tiniest I have ever had. There is no counter just a sink. I put one of our bookshelves in this little spot to keep things on but then it occurred to me where do I put our towels 😯
I have a good size master bathroom but only have two bars to hang towels on. One's in the toilet area, not a very convenient place to grab a towel when getting out of the shower, and the other on the shower door, that's my spot lol. For years towels got hung over the shower doors and it recently started to bothered me. So I bought cute wall hooks from Amazon and put them on the wall next to the shower. I tried a free standing towel bar but the towels were too heavy and it didn't allow them to be spread out so they could dry properly. I now have it in my bedroom and use it to hang clothes on. The hooks on the wall work perfectly. I just have to keep reminding my husband and daughter to use them.

I wish we had ANY counter space 😭 we have a pedestal sink and I bought one of those cheap over the toilet shelf things but it filled up SO fast and considering we have 5 people living in a 1 bathroom house (3 adults, 2 toddlers) there's absolutely no space in the shower either 🥴
I certainly wish I had space. I rent and my kitchen and livingroom are the WORST areas in my house. I have a huge upstairs hallway with a stupid computer area taking valuable space from the bedrooms. So stupid. Kitchen has NOOOO wallspace. A whole hot mess.

As an adult I've never lived in a big bathroom. I miss my grandparents bathroom.. it was huge. I am always trying to find way to organize my small bathroom It's so small that when you sit on the toliet which is right next to the shower/tub that as soon as you stand up your touching the wall. It is very small. There is a small closet in the bathroom next to the door and that's all the storage the bathroom came with. The sink has no drawers and no counter space. It has that little rectangle right by the faucet. I've tried using the slide in shelf but the ones I've used fell apart easily. Where did you get that silver one? It definitely looks better than the ones I've had. When I try to click on the link it doesnt go through, which is why I ask which one it is.

I put stick on cubby’s on the side of my husband’s bedroom side table as well as my side table. This has been great to put the tv remote, hubbys reading glasses etc. Before we would forget where we put these items before dozing off. I found these really cute table centerpieces and realized that if I flipped them on their sides they could be used as a shelf and I have them above my bathroom doors for our extra toilet paper. It’s great except that it can be annoying for shorties trying to pull the toilet paper down 😂
I'm a 5-year widow on social security in HUD housing. I have a fairly decent sized bathroom with one closet but I have to store a bunch of things besides just bathroom things in that closet. I have a dollar tree close by. I have to find a way to store bathroom things and other things for hobbies etc in my bathroom closet. Help
I use "Who Gives A Crap" toilet paper as a mail-order service and their rolls already come wrapped in tissue paper in fun designs instead of packaged in plastic... and the last few rolls have red warning paper so you know when to reorder.
Do you happen to know or remember what the bathroom color or brand is in the green/ dark green bathroom in this video? I absolutely love that color. It's hard for me to find a color like that that isn't too dark, teal, etc.
I live in a rental. We don't have anywhere to put our stuff . It's in another room 😂 I have a flat mirror and its forbidden to change it to a mirror with storage behind because it can fall down on the sink. And we are not allowed to drink in the walls so we can have shelves. And we also have no cabinets. Haha I hate our bathroom
What would you do if you only had a very small area to work with and had a stockpile of toiletries, from extra shower gels to shampoos and conditioner s?

Our past last two homes had enviable amounts of storage that some studio kitchens might wish they had, then we moved to a larger home and alas the bathrooms storage shrunk considerably. We have had to downsize the amount of crap we kept in the bathroom but clearly it was time. It’s amazing how many products you can hang onto that get forgotten and just take up space in your cabinet even when organized. Shelves have been our saving grace too!
The only thing about those sticky hooks for the bin on the walls is that with such a small space even with the fan on its gets so humid that they just unstick and fall off.
