It looks like you didn't do a formal excursion. Would you say there was still enough things to do and see within walking distance of the ship? Also how did y'all find your way back? Did you have an international phone plan so you can use maps?
Yeah in this case we didn’t do too much. They always offer tours off the ship but you can easily just jump in a cab and ask them to take you to the attraction you’d like to visit. To get back that’s what we did and every taxi driver knows where the ship is. 😉 There wasn’t too much to do at the port so if you’d like to really see anything it might be best to do one the excursions a bit further away.
Yes......leave it to a writer to bring this up, but the city is pronounced jeh-now-uh....also, when going through the back alleys there, it is sad to see all of the graffiti. I don’t understand why some cities don’t try to keep up with cleaning/painting over these eye sores. Thanks for these videos, and the one of your cruise……always enjoyable. Hopefully, travel will begin to look more like what used to be normal soon.
Thanks for the how to pronounce it. We always call it Genoa like I said in the video. I don’t know why cities don’t clean up the graffiti. Maybe because it just gets marked up again?
Fun fact: at 5:46 you were exactly 5 meters from Colombo's house. It was the ancient building at the bottom of the staircase. Oh and for the records you have only seen maybe 2% of Genova and not the best parts^^
