This is disgusting. Yoimiya and Hu Tao CANNOT be that far appart. Burgeon Thoma OUTDAMAGES Itto, they should not be a tier appart. Butting Cyno above Yae and Keqing is LITTERALY INSANE, litteraly both of the outdamage him. Klee is an AOE damage dealer in Mono Pyro and her damage in AoE is comparable to Lyney's but in Single Target he's better. BUT SHE SHOULD NOT BE BEHIND YANFEI, NO.

Imagine building burgeon thoma as a newer player. I doubt you’ll have c4 to make him burst reliably and also have the artifacts to support his ER + EM requirements at ar55-57. It’s too dank. Klee is good I know, I messed up I should’ve rated her higher. But ye, yoimiya is like this case where ye, she is just way too single target focused and her supports are too. She requires a shield quiet often and the scenarios where you really need a single target dps are very rare. Yes there are chambers with bosses in the abyss, but 90% of the time the next chamber is going to be aoe or have more than 1 enemy. Besides that yoimiyas dps C0 r1 is about 45-50k depending on the boss. Whis is the same damage as hypercarry C0r1 raiden with lisa as the support, which is funny because raiden at c0 gets memed on being a hypercarry. And btw all of raiden’s damage is aoe damage. So ye, I don’t think there is much debate on weather or not yoimiya should be D tier. I’m not saying hutao is much stronger, not by a lot, but she doesn’t need to run a shielder (because icd is not a problem for her), she has very good vertical investment options and her damage can be aoe, and even if it’s 30% of hutaos damage that will be aoe (which is on the lower side because it can be 50% or higher depeding on how proficient you are with hutao). Virtually this mean hutao is just 30% better than yoimiya and im just sorry to say, because i hate hutao and really like yoimiya but i have to stay objective here

My second account is AR 47ish. Thoma is good, it just took forever to do the quests to unlock his ascension materials that were locked behind quests. But by the time someone is AR 50 it shouldn’t be a problem. Also, it takes a while to build characters and in the early game good characters just take a while to farm for because we don’t have the artifacts yet.

Ganyu's one of the strongest dps where u just spam charged attacks Him : C tier Itto needing high investment and not being f2p + great dps only when with gorou Him : surely better than ganyu

They should both be in C tier but she should be higher than him. Cuz she's not one of the strongest DPS characters in the game but neither is him

How would you define meta? I’d define meta as ‘good in the current abyss’. And possibly as excellent in their best teams, and/or good in multiple good teams. Also, C6 4* and C0 5* all with good investment.

No, this isn’t a tierlist with c6 4*. Thats why xiangling is not S tier and also a lot of characters that rely on xiangling are also lower in the tierlist because this is a tierlist for newer players who Will lack constellations on 4stars. The goal is to show newer players what characters should they consider if they want fast and good results. Thats why alhaitham is so high. As a new player you need a dps, and if you have the strongest dps in the game in terms of relative investment (don’t need good crit, can run 2p/2p sets and can even build em goblet and will still perform at very good levels in f2p teams like with lisa barbara dmc). And in this case you are going to be way closer to 36starring the abyss for example than a player who pulled yelan or kazuha and is using these “broken” supports to support a yanfei/razor or chongyun, well just because they used all their premium currency on supports and didn’t get a single strong dps because lategame meta tierlists rate them very low. But again these supprts are still S tier in my list and I do give them credit, but again this tierlist is for midgame earlygame players with not the besr artifacts, not the best weapon, not good constellations etc. Lategame: yes, supports are way more valuable and can go into even SS tier, and also dendro related comps can fall off, because their vertical scaling is not as great as some hypercarries have, like raiden/ayaka/itto/hutao/eula etc

Interesting. Do you have a second account where you’ve played through with this philosophy? My second account is AR 47ish, and I’ve prioritized supports. I’m having a much easier time than on my first play through when I didn’t understand reactions. Personally, I’d say understanding reactions is more important than having a strong on-field DPS. But hey, good job making a tier list! People are going to have different opinions no matter what. Are you going to do an AR 55+ tier list?

honestly for ease of use and dps i think yoimiyas atleast an A tier since her playstyle is e and then left click left click left click left click left click dash and repeat pretty easy honestly

This isn’t very an ease of use tierlist, and even though i do take that into account for some characters. Particularly in yoimiya’s case the fact that all of her damage is single target and also her supports are usually single target as well, really renders her one of the worst units to recommend for a newer player trying to 36 star the abyss. Although I do agree that with a proper setup, she can speedrun bosses. But that doesn’t make her a general good meta character because there has never been an abyss where we had 3 bosses in a row on one side and its not like her boss clearing is best in the game, because its just not

Please do not trust some things in this tier list and watch tutorials and guides that can actually back up their claims by facts and calcs, or at least do watch someone trustable. Diona D tier (almost irreplacable character in hyperfreeze and burgeon freeze archetypes, and there's so much more she can do), Zhongli C tier (and not used by a lot of teams? what? he's such a good flex character you can literally fit him in almost every single archetype), this is a complete joke. Take no offense but you should expect people being negative in the comments when you're misleading newer players into believing that some crucial characters aren't actually used anywhere. You have a point on a lot of other places, but if you're not sure about a specific character, do some research. And yes, Beidou is way better than she was before, people didn't just randomly start appreciating her more. You get lots of damage reduction which can and resistance to interruption during her ult that can easily replace shields if you have a healer, and then with c2 she does so much damage I've no idea why would you ignore her. When the hardest abyss we've ever had rolled out in 3.7, she was hard carrying tf out of your total damage against consecrated beasts. And at the end of the day, taser is simply one of the cheapest archetypes in the game, why not use it, especially if you're a newbee? It won't suddenly fall off unless the devs will suddenly start making strictly solo target abyss cycles from now on.
