Genshin Impact Childe aka Tartaglia Fight Reaction 

Fun fact! The Tartaglia boss fight was actually Nerfed 5 days after its initial release as the boss version of Childe was so strong that most players weren’t able to defeat him. He has multiple instant kill moves, he had a very high movement speed so hitting him at all was hard and he just generally did more damage. Due to our complaining the boss was nerfed but as a person that’s played the game since the start and faced both versions of the boss I now wish he was still as strong as he was before. 😔

Oh yes yes, we're finally here! 10:06 - Ah, this is early Genshin, when the US team had a lot of issues with pronouns. It was weird. The Dendro Archon is a "She". I can't tell if the pauses in dialogue is from genshin's Auto Player or if the person who recording it wasn't paying attention. 😂 23:21 - "Delusion Unleashed". The Fatui make counterfeit Visions called Delusions. They're very dangerous and can even kill the user. Childe uses an Electro Delusion alongside his Hydro Vision. His 3rd transformation, the "Foul Legacy", is a technique he was taught when he was 14 after... something happened to him. (The incident is explained much later in the story, and i'm sure you'll get comments about it since genshin players don't consider it a spoiler, but i won't say for now) Fun Fact: Childe has 3 names. Tartaglia is his Harbinger name, and the name he goes by in game. Childe is just an alias, but most characters call him by this name. Ajax is his real name. 26:19 - Aw dang, the player cut out my fav part of the Childe fight. Where he summons a massive Hydro Whale that leaps onto the arena and can kill you in one hit. It's so cool (just don't get hit). Normally i wouldn't mention it, but you'll need to know it for context later. 28:20 - WOW, this is an old recording. This line is a MASSIVE mistranslation and was later rerecorded/updated due to player backlash. Childe doesn't "detest working with the weak". What Childe doesn't like is innocents/the weak having to get involved. Apologies for the long comment. After I learned Childe's backstory, I became a big fan of his, so I tend to have a lot to say. 😅😅 However, I absolutely wanted to smack him when i first fought him. Your reactions are great. They don't go into more depth of Ganyu's parents in the story. Her mother was an adeptal Qilin. Which is like a sort of goat-dragon like creature in chinese mythology. She inherited her horns and longevity from her mother. Her father was just some mortal herbalist. They met by accident, ganyu's mom went human form. Storks were called. This and that happened and Ganyu was raised by the white and green Crane Adeptus Cloud Retainer. Ganyu is like +3000 years old, lol

Ningguang is so badass with her conjuring the Guizhong Ballistae then dropping the Jade Chamber on Osial. Sadly, while I consider her a five-star in lore, she's only a four-star in gameplay. And yes, Childe's boss fight is amazing. And there's far more to come.

ahh good times that never come back... the times where the fight against Tartaglia was a nightmare where you basically only needed to take 2 hits to die

The older version of the story did childe dirty, he isnt that much of a jackas, but he’s actually just a good person on the other side(still battle hungry tho) which sadly is mostly/only is shown in his story quest and a few events prior to fontaine

So the Traveler (in this case Lumine) is able to absorb elemental power through the Statues of the Seven, as you've seen in the first video abosorbing Anemo(wind) and while it isn't shown or given a cutscene the player can absorb Geo by resonating with the Geo Archon statue, however it's only in the cutscene that the traveler can use both at once, in openworld you can only use one

I strongly recommend reacting to Childe story quest after completion of this chapter. The quest detailed some facts about Delusion, which would explain a realization in Chapter 2 and also explain Traveler's relationship with Childe in Chapter 4

The finale of Liyue was absolutely incredible! The fight with childe had me shaking with excitement and the fight with Osial was such a magnificent spectacle! I was hooked from that moment onward!

The childe fight he summoned a huge water whale that is quite important to his lore and the future lore of Genshin they didn't really show it but it get mentioned later (way way way later though)

Finally...I remember still struggling against pre-nerf Tartaglia. Barely clutched it in my 2nd attempt.

childe boss has 3 phases. first he uses his hydro vision initiate the battle, then in next phase he unleash his electro delusion, that's why it's says "delusion unleashed", then his 3rd phase he unleash his foul legacy transformation in which he use both of his hydro vision and electro delusion at the same time. that's why you see water and electricity when he transforms.

I miss the times when childe was to Strong for the entire player base of genshin. I wish they brought him back 😢.

Childe is a character that can be recruited into the player party. In the player party they give a lot more detail on his abilities and background. The game generally sort of assumes that these characters accompany the player for at least a little bit so it is somewhat canon knowledge. As a youth Childe somehow fell into "The Abyss" and he ended up meeting a person there called "Skirk" who taught him how to do that transformation and how to fight. He seemingly spent months if not years there, but then returned to reality without much time passing at all. The Fatui use items called "Delusions" which are basically fake-visions that give elemental powers but they're dangerous. Childe also happen to have a Hydro vision. Childe at full power is using a hydro vision, an electro delusion, and channeling a whole lot of abyssal energy via Foul Legacy. He is an absolute battle monster and there's a few events which happen that involve childe accompanying the traveler again and being a total battle monster. At his core he's basically a psychopath who pretends to be a functional human just to get more opportunities to fight.

After joining the Fatui, Harbingers abandon their true names. Childe is not his real name. Its Ajax. But Childe is his new codename that he was given by the Tsaritsa. Tartaglia is his official symbolistic "Title" or an honoured name among the 11 Fatui Harbingers. The harbingers are the top ranking members of the fatui that are second only to the Tsaritsa who sits on top.

What really stuck with me in the Childe/Tartaglia fight is that he's Harbinger number ELEVEN. He is the BOTTOM RANK of the Fatuis' top 11. For dropping a castle on a god, Ningguan diserved to be a 5 star > 3

Just so you know, since you're only reacting to the main storyline, you won't see Childe/Tartaglia again until the nation of Fontaine, but there are some side quests/events that feature him after the Liyue story, and our relationship with him gets a lot more friendly, specially after his Story Quest, which humanizes him more as a character. Keep that in mind, 'cause by the time you see him again in the main plot, you might be a little weirded out by him being friends with the Traveler if your only knowledge of him is the Liyue Archon Quest.

Yeah it seems like GLP are having it rough finding the time to properly record all the cutsences of Genshin. Even as of today I still haven't seen them record their Journey into the Hydro Nation yet. They seem to be releasing based on what's most popular/clout such as those remakes or those recently released unique mario games.

I love the battle music from the fight against Tartaglia. I highly recommend giving it a listen as well as other battle themes shown in the game later on. I absolutely love the music from Genshin Impact and I would to see your reactions to it.

23:18 Delusion is a kind of device you will get to know about in Inazuma, basically it's a fake vision which gives you some power, so Childe used 3 powers in his fight 1. Vision 2. Delusion 3. Abyss powers There are 7 elements in game, elemental powers can be used or controlled with the help of vision. But there are other sorts of powers in game which works differently.

Ganyu referred to the Dendro Archon as "he" but she is actually a girl, maybe back in the earlier versions they were planning to make her a boy, before her actual release. 🧐

Watching someone over-leveled fight this fight certainly takes the thrill and terror out of it. 😢 I only recently fought him, and he one-combo'd my second-strongest character.

Right off the bat, the Traveller and emergency food retell their visit of the Jade Chamber to Mr "Shut Up and take Mora" lunatic.

cloud retainer, the crane that was bragging about building the ballista, seems very haughty and stuck up but is actually very kind(especially to her students). there's a trailer where people discuss her and a trailer showcasing her abilities because they've made her playable in her human form.

Ganyu is half adeptus, which is why shy has horns, its her beast genes XD

I went on a rollercoaster ride with Childe/Ajax. When I first met him - I knew I shouldn't - but kind of liked him and did grow a bit attached to him. After this battle, I HATED him. Only after I played his Story Quest did I came to truly LOVE him and it stayed that way ever since. He's a wild rild for sure.

A quick note about Tartaglia, the g is actually supposed to be silent like it is in Signora, because all the harbinger titles are Italian. So it should be pronounced Tartalia.

Honestly farewell Jade Chamber...I hardly knew ye. 😢

Something Genshin has that is incredible high quality, in par with big awards winning games, is its OST. Unfortunately, channels like the one you are using skips so many moments that the music is lost. 😢 Would love to see you two (three with doggo) reacting to Genshin orchestras. There are small orchestras videos 5-10 minutes long in the official channel that are stunning! You will not regret :)

I want to make a correction. The dragon that they fough in Monstand is not a God, it's an elemental being ( Anemo elemental dragon). Barbatos gave him the position as one of the Four Winds of Mondstand ( Protectors). I'm saying this cause he is a weaker dragon from the ones that we learn/met later on in the story.

This is the part where I disliked but also respected Tartaglia. He grew on me later.

Ah, this is the old voice over for Childe (innacurate translation) that made a lot of EN players dislike him probably a bit more than intended. They've fixed his lines and he doesn't sound as much "Oh, weak people are just worms under my boot" but more like "I don't want to involve the weak in my actions"

Haven't seen anyone memtion this yet so I'll give this info. All those things Childe said about 'despising people weaker than him' was actually nothing more than a pretty bad mistranslation in the English dub. It sparked backlash and some time later, that dialogue was rerecorded and changed. What he's actually supposed to say there is that he didn't want to use his backup plan because he doesn't like involving weak/innocent people in his plans because he knows they would get swept away, but he had no other choice as he had to follow the Tsaritsa's orders. Of course, he's a pretty morally grey character still but the initial version of the dialogue made him seem downright evil

While the battle in the Jade Chamber was amazing in it's own way, Tartaglia's boss theme is a damn work of art. It instantly makes the fight better! (Then again, I'm probably biased. Childe is a great character, the type that you either love or hate. The old translations really did him dirty)

Well, Tartaglia is the first character to be both Playable and a Boss. Playing his Boss Fight for the first time when I was still a new player, I always got killed because he always leave a riptide mark..... Now, he seems an easy boss fight to me....

I got lucky I got slammed against the wall in day 2 when I fought him... the moment I saw the riptide clear... Yup, that was my lightbulb moment and was able to wop his butt. Lol funny thing, I was running triple Physical (Kaeya/Jean/Razor)+ Qiqi... So I was making him to push me against the wall so many times that friends joked about it.

if possible, watch the character story quests too! you'll get to know them better and there is some really cool moments

Jade Chamber and the Golden House were at two diffefent locations. Golden House had all the Mora. But cause the editing does not show the beautiful places and scenic routes inside the game you missed it.😢

Childe is still pretty popular among the women of the fandom. Mostly in Japan cuz they like his type. And that battle against Osial was pretty cool, but once the hype for it died down, people realized they wanted to fight the thing itself instead of a bunch of Fatui lackeys. For Ganyu, the only things you got to know about her is that she's a devotee of Rex Lapis and is the product of a human and Adepti. So she's a hybrid with Adepti blood in her veins, hence why she has the horns. Remember that Adepti are the equivalent of celestial beings in Liyue. I can't remember if they go deeper into her lore in her specific character quest, since the most I remember from that is just her lifestyle. And funny thing you mention as where the God of Geo could be. Well.... you probably already know at this point. Hope you check out the Character specific quests playlist I sent in the Discord. You're gonna need to see it if you want to be introduced to characters naturally, cuz remember that the games requires you do them before doing specific main story/limited time event quests.

I despise Childe, he happily let loose Osial and does not even care that it could've ended in the death of a lot of people in Liyue. People apparently think he's "good" because of his story quest but it changes nothing for me. A despicable person could have 1-2 positive trait but they are still a despicable human being.
