Edit: Appartently, I missed one critical detail about Chiori's dolls. After reviewing again, it seems like they do not resonate with Zhongli's pillar, which implies that they cannot be constructs. Hopefully that's the case but as always - this is just pre-release video, obviously I'll cover everything about Chiori when she comes out. ...this is what I get for making fun of Osmanthius wine and forgetting Zhonglingus resonating pillar :(

I'm just so tired of the devs making the coolest normal attack animations in the game and giving them to the characters that will never use them in any practical application

Chiori is not as elabroate as other 5 stars... when she was teased and we didn't know anything about her, I assumed she would be a 4 star

As a albedo Stan it is kinda disappointing that they copied his mechanic and made it slightly better. Like why not just make albedo better and give chihori a more unique kit

I always love how content creators say "potentially" and "from what I can tell", even though they're probably already working on the video guide while playing the beta version(⁠๑⁠•⁠﹏⁠•⁠) (Edit: I know that they most likely all sign an NDA and obviously have to act like the public doesn't know about leaks and stuff, if they want to remain a partner of Hoyo, promoting and hype up characters in a realistic matter; with emphasis on realistic)

Not only do fate points not carry over to the next chronicle banner, I believe you also don't get to keep fate points if you wanted to change the weapon/character you chose initially

For a character that's already super niche (sub DPS and support that only works for Geo), it's just really stupid that she can't even do her job well unless you get constellations for her. At C0 she can only really properly support the few Geos we have that create constructs. Honestly, it feels like a bait and switch that they keep showing her paired up with Navia in her character trailer since she can't even really support her properly out of the box.

I’m soooo excited for her! All the inazuman(Japanese) characters always look so amazing and she’s no exception. I’m in love with her outfit and hairstyle. I’m tripple crowning her for sure!

Eh, at this point, I think I already have all the characters I want from Fontaine (and every other region) anyway. I was gonna go for Arlecchino, but I kinda just wanna take a break from the game for a couple patches and wait for her rerun if her kit looks good. Kind of a chore to keeping logging in and doing dailies for "the next hot character" anyway. Heck, might even just wait until Natlan before I dive in again.

3+ years waiting to get those specific 5-stars can be the sole reason why me and some of us considered the chronicled wish is a great choice of a banner to pull 😁 We don't know how many more time / effort needed to finally get them or the bitter feelings we have to experience of seeing others that got a 5-star we actually want but we can't get yet 😅 Here's me a day-1 player without getting Jean in my entire playthrough 😂

In my opinion the new banner system is a pretty good addition in the grand scheme of things. This simply means it frees up the limited character banner of older units that need reruns and thus making newer characters have their reruns much quicker than usual. The fate system is by no means any different from the current 50/50 system that we have. Save enough wishes for one and if you win, good for you. But if you lose and don't have enough for the guarantee, that's gonna be on you. You may not like the characters in it now, but having a faster rerun schedule for more desirable characters is a much needed change.

8:32 true, the half the line up is standard banner 5 stars. But with this banner, you can make it easier to get the one you want. It took me 2 years of playing to get a Diluc, and some players who've played longer still don't have a Mona.

I'm only interested in the new weapon side of the banner. I want to get signature weapons for my faves. I hope they'll be featured since I stay away from the scam that is the other weapon banner :3

Genshin at this point is a niche for casuals. Gamers have left or will leave at some point.

Hoyo really put the “gacha” in this gacha game when they introduced the chronicle wish banner. Sometimes I forget that genshin is a live service gacha game and that any quality of life update is primarily for the purpose of manipulating its users to spend more money on the game.

These "filler patches" with Mondstadt events are where we learnt about the Fake Sky, Alice, Albedo's AMOGUS plot, Varka, The Captain and Hexenzirkel. For lore and story players, there's no such thing as filler, only more content.

I'm just waiting for Tighnari to appear on Chronicled Wish. I have Hunter's Path back from when he was first released and it's waiting for him in my inventory at lvl 90. I hope I can finally get him after so long.

I really hate how bad character design is, why can´t hoyo create more interesting kits. We should have way more buffer and debuffer at this point in time, there are so many ways to change reactions like a physical Pyro Unit could have the passive to lower physical resistence on burning enemys and stuff like that. We are in 4.5 and all we get is slightly better albedo?! That´s so boring and sad

honestly the chronical wish is just weapon banner but better. pity carries over, fate points do not. But because it's only 1 fate point required to get what you want (and you don't have to get potentially 2 unwanted 5 stars to get your actual selection) it's just better. Sure, it's not the easiest banner option to pull on, but it doesn't have to be. It's a middle ground between typical limited character banners and the weapon banner. Not as generous (50/50 carries over) as the limited banner, but not as difficult as the typical weapon banner. I think people are making it out to be a LOT worse than it is. ESPECIALLY considering when losing 50/50 on this banner you have the chance to get something limited and you aren't locked in to losing to the same standard characters and weapons. Ideally, this Chronical Wish banner will only get better with more iterations, hopefully going down to two or one standard characters with the rest being limited. That alone, the ability to snag other limited characters, does a lot of heavy lifting to make it a decent banner. I mean, imagine in the future you're pulling on a Chronical Wish banner to try and get Shenhe but lose 50/50 and get someone like Yelan? that would be insane

I am actually trying to crack my Geo traveler. So she could be a support for him. And yes, i like Geo Traveler even if he is not powerful.

Ive rolled on banners secretly wanting to lose to diluc's c6 since release. This banner will finally allow me to c6 him and get his weapon. I will not longer be tempted to pull on any character and can save for supports. C6 diluc is my genshin endgame.

Chiover is a letdown. powercreeping a character like albedo is devoid of significant exciting value for Geo’s already ailing meta. *GEO CHARACTER IDEA 1:* would have been nice if chiori was a teamwide off-field healer so that the stale and dead unpopular itto mono team can synergize with furina. itto + gorou + healer chiori + furina = awesome team. hoyoverse has always had questionable decisions for geo. they won’t even fix the clunky collision issues of summoning geo constructs. and they’re selling chiori. this makes chiori a faulty product. Hoyoverse needs to stop this stale mono geo shenanigan. it can’t even utilize the Crystallize reaction properly. *IDEA 2:* would be nice if Hoyoverse introduced a geo character who provides different buffs depending on the element of the Crystallize shard you get: - increased Attack for Pyro shard - increased Crit Rate for Cryo shard - increased HP for Hydro shard - increased ER for Electro shard *IDEA 3:* or a geo character who makes Geo Constructs indestructible or highly durable, and increases the number of constructs on the field from 3 to 6. *IDEA 4:* or a geo character who can interact with Dendro Cores. if this geo character hits Dendro Cores with geo, the cores will create thick wooden vines that ensnare enemies in an AoE and drains their HP and heals your on-field character. *IDEA 5:* or a geo character who lets your on-field character gain elemental infusion as long as they’re shielded by Crystallize. the infusion’s element will depend on the element of the Crystallize shield. *IDEA 6:* Or a geo character that let’s you stack on Crystallize shield. the more shards you pick up, the stronger your shield is and the higher your crit damage becomes. *IDEA 7:* Or a geo character who can make geo constructs explode by hitting them. Enemies caught within the AoE explosion will be petrified and rendered immobile. The duration of petrification will depend on the number of exploded constructs. *IDEA 8:* or a geo character who can create an AoE sandpit where it groups enemies toward the center of the pit. a geo character who can do crowd control. that would be unique so that Anemo characters aren’t the only ones who can crowd control enemies. *IDEA 9:* Or a geo character who requires only geo and electro characters in a team. this character makes Electro Crystallize shards emit a sustained AoE electro pulse that disrupts the magnetic field. Smaller enemies caught within the AoE are levitated. Levitated or floated enemies are rendered immobile and take extra dmg from geo or electro attacks. Metallic enemies, on the other hand, are attracted to the magnetic pulse emitted by the Electro shards. Once hit by the AoE pulse, metallic enemies get disabled for 6 seconds and their DEF is lowered. *IDEA 10:* Or a geo character who makes Crystallize shards explode and do elemental dmg on enemies. Elemental auras will also be applied on enemies caught in the explosion, which will help in chaining other elemental reactions. - There’s so much that Hoyoverse can do with Geo and Crystallize. Chiori’s kit is boring compared to the ideas I suggested. It’s like Hoyoverse isn’t even trying. It’s not that difficult to be creative with Geo if Hoyoverse really tried.

The new banner is the best thing about this update, i LOVE my C2 Tighnari (never been happier to lose a 50/50 whenever i got him xD) and now im going to be able to get his Signature wweapon, my boy gona hit like a double truk now hell yeah.

Albedo is my fav unit. Having his ticks hit 28k was a hard feat but it happened lol. I use him with Zhongli, Cloud Retainer and Xioa. I mentioned this team b4 cloud retainer with faruzan.

i didnt realize fate points dont carry over; i was going to try for mona since i dont have most of the others on banner and i somehow dont have them a shame, they look really fun to use (also their voice acting is really good and i like the personality a lot)

Honestly I’m a big fan of specific supports because most of them finally make non-classic teams like national variants or hyperbloom to be competitive. I’m sure Chiori is going to benefit Itto really well making geo supremacy even better. I’m hating the fact most of teams beg for Benny and Xiangling, as if there is no any other characters in the game at all

I believe that the new banner is a way to give more characters reruns now that we're getting even more characters. By the way, I'm already satisfied with my mono geo (Zhongli, Albedo Gorou & Itto) so I'm skipping. That and because I pulled for Yae Miko

Still gonna pull for Chiori, and I'm totally gonna turn her into an on-field Geo DPS. She has style, cool normal attacks, and she's the first dual-wielding sword character! And I can possibly finally get Klee with the Chronicle Wish event! I see this update as an absolute win, since I am so far behind on a lot of world and story quests. So now is the perfect time to do them! Those who are calling it a "dry patch" can kindly shut their mouths.

There's literally no reason to want Chronicled wish to use Acquaint Fates, 99% of players don't have them stockpiled the ones who want the new banner to use blue fates (I assume that's the reason ? Otherwise it's just plain stupid, ypu get less than 10 acquaint fates *per patch*)

I have a geo-focused account but even i am sceptical of pulling for Chiori, since I already have Albedo. However, I'm tempted by the weapon banner since both Itto's weapon and Chiori's weapon seem useful to me, but I doubt accounts other than my niche ones would like the first phase banners over the second phase banners here lol

I am generally the type to spend my primo if I see something good, like when navia came out she saved herself, if chiori can do it too then good thing. Otherwise she looks mid, they were gonna make filler patch, atleast take your time and give proper scaling, moveset. Sometimes they do the opposite 0f making a good moveset

Gorou will probably be promoted too, so I'll be pulling on a banner regardless, to finally complete my 4* collection. Most likely Chiori since I already have C6 Noelle built and no need for Itto. Best case scenarios will be an early Gorou or losing the 50/50, since that leaves me with enough pulls for a guarantee down the line, maybe for Arlechino.

I kinda like the chronicled whish, as an f2p i already save up enough wishes if i lose a 50/50, as to not waste any, so needing to save up like that doesnt really change anything, and it just makes certain characters/weapons more accessable

Speaking of fate point, the regular 5-star banner probably has it. Come to think of it, let's pretend we're going to write a program for it, the programming side, to keep track of the guaranteed ones, we will use a variable while also taking consideration of the 50/50 aspect for the next pity. Does it make sense? The only bad thing with this is the fate point does not carry to the next. Probablt Its worse than the regular 5star banner

If we are only talking about Abyss. They could just increase the geo/construct damage and that would temporarily ramp up the numbers, I am sure they will do it at Chiori’s banner. What would be even better is that they could update the geo resonance bonus and geo could easily become Meta 😂. I think I remember they revised the Hydro resonance bonus 🤔

Honestly, it low key ticks me off that they chose to use Fate Points for the Chronicled Wish. Hoyo basically saw an opportunity to throw players a bone, and decided to chuck a wrench at them instead. They intentionally made the banner worse for no reason, and that kind of sucks.

The Cronical Wish Banner is a great addition to Genshin Wish system. I think its perfect for players who wait, farm enough wishes and pull for characters. 1. We get 6 characters to choose from - 3 Limited and 3 Standard ( Although choosing standard characters is a rare option ) It opens opportunities to lose 50/50 to Limited characters. Even if you lose 50/50 to a limited character and get a selected character, its equal to winning 50/50 in Limited Banner twice. It's way better than losing to only standard banner characters like Qiqi. For example I want to pull for Eula. I lose 50/50 to Albedo. Now I have 2 Limited 5-star character within 180 wishes. I was not hoping for Albedo, but he is better than getting other standard banner characters. 2. It opens up to which standard banner character we can lose to. It narrows down the standard characters that I get. So instead of getting Random standard character constellations, now my chances of losing 50/50 to Diluc or Jean Constellations increases. It helps to get constellations for desired standard character by losing 50/50. Or constellations for limited 5-star characters. 3. We won't have to wait for so long for certain characters. It really suits Old characters like Klee, Albedo in this Chronical Wish banner instead of appearing on limited banners where most of them will skip for new characters.

I think the worst part of the chronicle wish system is the fact it uses intertwined fates and not the other one (forgot the name) other than that, it acts like the weapon banner which sure shit on its own right. But if they got rid of the weapons banner replaced it with the chronicle wish system, then when a new character comes out their weapon has an increased chance of being got on the 50/50.

Tbh there is no need to pull for more characters, all characters released before sumeru update are not necessary beside archons for sure

To be honest, I ALWAYS have enough for 180 pulls in case something goes wrong. Since the chronicle banner is meant for people who want to snipe a specific 5 star, you would be dumb af to pull there if you can't guarantee the 5 star you want. Are you really sniping or not? For people like me who don't pull on every single banner, don't pull for con or weapon, we have a good stash of primos always ready, so the fate point system is not a problem. It's only a problem for those who allow it

4.5 is a skip for me. I already have itto and Kazuha & neuvillette across my 8 alt accounts and I don't need any new geo units. confining to save for fruina or alhaitham but fruina is the main priority
