Marie, thank you for showing the gentle ripple. I have crocheted for over 60 years so I am always find new stitches. I will be going to your web site!!
The text on the video, the number of chains I say in the beginning of the video, and the written pattern linked in the video tells you the exact number of chains I used for the blanket size shown on the cover image. It also tells you the stitch multiples if you would like to make a bigger or smaller blanket. Let me know how yours turns out!
I started off with the white strip and it has gone nicely through all of my colours but I was wondering if it was possible to attach strips beneath it? As I would like to end it on a dark colour. Might sound like a ridiculous question but I'm afraid I'm a complete beginner in the world of crocheting so a little lost! Thanks!
Thanks for writing, Punya. It isn't a ridiculous question. For my version, I didn't start and end with the same color. But if you want to add some dark color to the beginning, it would be possible to make a strip in the color and then join it to the rest of the blanket with a seam.
Just wondering by any chance is it possible you knitt, I'm looking for a step by step tutorial on a basic V neck newborn baby cardigan and cannot get one anywhere I would love to do one for the baby, but I will definitely do this blanket to, I'd be grateful for any suggestions on the cardigan tutorial.
Bridgett, you can use whatever hook size is comfortable with the yarn you are using. Your blanket may be a different size than mine if you use a different gauge. I hope this helps.
Melody, I'm not sure exactly what your comment means. But if you are asking if the pattern needs to be purchased, you have the option of reading the crochet pattern for free on my blog (following the link above) or buying an ad-free PDF download. I hope this helps.
