Dear Sarah, I'm so thrilled I've finally found exercises for both scoliosis and osteoporosis as I have both :-( I love the way you lead us to the exercises and was wondering if you could post some more, please? It would be extremely useful. many thanks, Sarah.

Dear Sarah, I am SO thrilled that I have found you / your channel. Am a passionate yogini, age 56, recently diagnosed with osteoporosis. I teach yoga to senior people and I LOVE more ideas to support their health ( and mine ). Maybe you like to give a chair yoga class ? I was very much touched with the story of your grandmother. I strongly believe we all need to take excellent care of our bodies as we age so we can continue living a meaningful / painfree life. Have a great day 🙏🌷❤️. @@christelnielandt5117 I have another RU-vid channel with straight up yoga practices. They are not osteoporosis safe. I would love to do a chair practice on this channel that is though!

Thank you for this. When you are doing the exercises with your legs while on your back, is the small of your back flat on the floor or curved up?

I am not pushing the small of my back into the floor. I am working with the natural lordotic curve of the spine. I hope that helps ❤

Hi Sarah. I have recently discovered your Gentle Yoga Practice for Osteoporosis and Scoliosis. Thank you so much for this. I feel confident doing it and feel the benefits of it already. I have both conditions and I just wondered if you could advise if your practices for just Osteoporosis are also suitable for scoliosis. Many thanks.

With scoliosis it depends on how large your curve is wheter or not all practices for osteoporosis will be appropriate for you. Twisitng may potentially agravate your curve if your cobb angle is more than 30 degrees. If you feel like twisting aggravates your curve then avoid doing twisting poses. Otherwise all the other poses will be fine for both conditions ❤

In person classes are distinctly different from online classes and also from RU-vid. I totally get it. I am a Northern Calfiornia girl! My husband's job has taken me away from home though. I have lived most of my life in the Bay Area and near Sacramento, but I am sadly not there anymore.

I am having the problem of my legs go into spasms. Any suggestions how I can stop the spasms.

Are the spasms being caused by a muscle or a nerve? Alternating hot and cold compresses might help. Also, stretching your leg out is likely to help. You could use a strap while laying down on your back and stretchyour leg.
