My first impressions of what's easily the most awful MMORPG I've played so far

I've played some bad MMORPGs in my time but recently I tried a game called League Of Angels, an MMO that I've been getting spammed by with misleading ads on facebook, in these ads the gameplay shown is nothing like the actual game to a hilarious degree, I thought it'd be fun to record my reaction to actually downloading and trying this trash game

@@IDOLL_Dev The king of good idle gameplay is still RuneScape. Old School RuneScape is more idle than RuneScape 3, but both are really good games that reward you for clicking something once every couple minutes, since leveling up gives you access to quests, lore, and bosses. The combat specifically is very afk, but not 100% afk, since you still need to click on the screen every once in a while and check you aren't dying. Godville is an auto-everything MMO where each player is a minor diety worshipped by their own personal comical fantasy adventurer. If you do nothing, and just watch, they'll do everything for themselves. You can "play" the whole game like this. But since you're a god, you also have the ability to perform miracles, smitings, and signs, to help the character along, give them the health refill they need to kill a boss, or even give them specific instructions on what they should do next, although they have the intelligence of a chatbot and only understand very simple commands, like "BUILD ME A TEMPLE" or "YOU SHOULD JOIN THE [NAME] GUILD". The game has enough content to keep an active god busy pretty much indefinitely, and I've played it in the background on and off for years, always coming back to interesting new things. I also highly recommend Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. It has great autoplay combat and story. It's in Japanese, though, and also only interesting if you watch the series... so it's a hard sell and usually not helpful.

Na its more pay to be the top or die instantly in PVP. mind you, the leveling curve practically hits at 90 degrees at some point and eventually becomes grind till your eyes fall out, which at that point paying to level and get equipment faster seems better... UNTIL YOU HIT THE NEXT FEKIN PAY WALL

Believe it or not, League of Angels used to be a relatively good game. It played a lot like Wartune and you actually had to do work to progress. I haven’t played it for years but seeing this now, it’s a completely different game.

bombarding you with rewards and unlocked achievements at minigun pace is how they keep the dopamine spikes coming in the player's brain. Play long enough and genuine addiction is guaranteed. games that do this kind of thing should be made illegal and treated like drugs, because while the intensity of the dopamine spikes will be much lower, fucking around with the brain's dopamine levels is basically how cocaine works if I remember my pharmaceutical toxicology course at uni correctly.

On top of that, many of these kinds of games were also on Boomerbook and used the MTX functions of that platform. I was one of the people who ended up hooked in a few of them. I was aware enough of the BS the devs were trying to pull to not spend money on them, but they still wasted my time and weren't helping me deal with my problems at all.

I used to play the first League of Angels game (the browser one) and I actually really enjoyed it at the time. It involved no combat and was essentially an idling game that you could leave in the background during battles but it was really fun to build a team and strategically position them to beat people who were stronger than you. It was already quite P2W back then but it was fun and F2P players could definitely get high in the rankings and they didn't push you to spend money all the time. I think it was when LOA II came out that I stopped playing but I'm pretty surprised at how downhill everything has gone.

It feels like it's a game made for botters in MMOs. 'cause your character is being auto-played, like a botter's character would, while throwing rewards at your face, as a botter would want to see. The "game" is to click on all of these popups and revel in all the rewards. That's why it's showering you with so much rewards and experience while autoplaying your character. It's a botter's fantasy. It's pure vapid hell.

I don't know the design term I'm looking for but this was clearly made to provide shallow entertainment with a lot going on. The amount of stuff on screen shows so much it try's to make you feel rewarded; also the monetization popups are for selling you crap, so that too.

I am from Asia. I noticed the dev is actually China dev when he install the game. This is a special handicap "game" made to satisfied those sad sad group of players who "wish to play video game but are too busy to play any games" The purpose of a game like this is to cash grab. Massive levelling up to fill in the void in the hearts of those sad sad players who failed miserably in live.. giving them a false sense of achievement for them. We even have a proper term for game like this in Asia. it is called 掛機遊戲 roughly translated as AFK games. A game that literally played itself for the entire course. Never a fan of this kind of "game". But for some reason, some actually love the concept of such garbage mechanic. And they even installed cheats that auto play a legit online mmorpg. I even meet some guild member who were furious when the cheat don't work anymore or being caught.

looks wise the game isn't bad, but the amount of shit popping up saying "recharge" or "buy this" is so dam annoying. also there are "events" in this game, the same events over and over and over. literally theirs like 10 or so events a day, 3 of of them are the same just different time. the event repeat everyday. It is literally a shit show, event wise, also this game is auto battle. so you can literally just tick auto battle mode and walk away for a day and you character will of lvled up and probably have a backpack full of shit.
