In this video I played on the strange place names map from GeoGuessr! I played with default settings, and set a five minute time limit for each round. This video is also a play along! Can I get a perfect score? Keep watching to find out! This was pretty hard, and I’m not as good at GeoWizard or GeoPeter yet, but hopefully I’ll get there.
This isn’t distance Battle Royale, country streaks, NMPZ or a perfect score - this is GeoGuessr on the Strange Place Names Map. You can also play along with me!

"Cill" is the Irish word for a churchyard. And there are quite a few of them in Ireland. In the English "translation" of place names it is usually spelt as "kill".

Just remember Australia and New Zealand drive on the left. It will stop you from guessing USA / Canada.

I think the lesson from this one is that strange places deserve strange names. Or maybe it's that if you give a place a strange name then the place becomes strange? One or the other... :)
