In this video I go through the Geometry Regents June 2023, free response, questions 25-35. I cover many of the topics from high school geometry such as:
similar triangles, parallel lines and transversals, triangle proofs, using trig to find a missing side, volume of 3D solids, area of a sector, alternate interior angles, transformations in the coordinate plane, equations of parallel lines, proving a parallelogram is a rhombus, constructing an altitude.

Oh that’s how you do number 31, had question 24-35 as Homework and I was extremely confused about 31. Thanks for the help tho, I completely forgot about that y-y1=m(x-x1)formula

my teacher would use ur videos whenever we would review the regents as a do now and it’s definitely helped me so rn watching them for the regents tomorrow and i took a mock back in april and got a 58 for i believe only the multiple choice 🥲 so much stress after the es regents today makes me not wanna study 😭😭 but motivation rlly came back and im def watching all of the video of ur regents review for tomorrow, so nervous but i hope i can understand the regents and not be cooked so i can cook the regents instead!!!🤞😭

On question 25 why do you have to do all the arcs? I thought a altitude was just a line going from vertex to the line while being perp

For question 30 isn’t ab supposed to be 20 or did you ding the length of ab without finding db

I found the length of AB directly. We could find DB by subtracting DB = AB - AD, DB = 16.

32:50 could you use a formula of a rhombus to find the area or since all sides of a rhombus are congruent can you times the sides by themselves like for example, distance formula I got approximately 9.2 for each side so couldn’t we just square that to get 85 or is that a beartrap?

It happens! It's hard to be spot on with everything on test day. A lot of people rounded down, thats why the bear was there!

Know all your definitions, formulas and theorems: www.nysmathregentsprep.com/uploads/6/2/3/2/62326735/v4_-_geometry_[common_core]_regents_review_sheet_-_facts_you_must_know_cold.pdf Geometry is very heavy on definition, formulas and theorems. You have a decent amount of time from now until August. I recommend you do a practice Regents (www.jmap.org/JMAP_REGENTS_EXAMS.htm), and see which questions you get wrong. If you are stuck on a specific topic, type the name of that topic + jmap in a google search. Do a worksheet covering just that topic. Then keep repeating that until test day!

i’m also taking it today!! we got this!!! you’re gonna do great, just watch/work on the the things that you consider to be difficult & you’ll be good , also i think we only need like 17 multiple choice correct in order to pass :)
