ridiculously talented player. i love how he is able to fly through the neck without using a ton of gain. impeccable technique. i'm just not sure i could sit through a whole concert of this tho.

Bellas rules !! He isn't an another copy of Malmsteen ! Listen Turn of the millenium or his lastset Planetary Alignment !! there are stuff unlistened before. Bellas play awesome rythm guitar parts !! It's not like Yngwie ( same albums since '90era !!) George Bellas is a new futuristic musician !!

i think you need to listen a little closer and research both of these guys ALOT.the only thing bellas and malmsteen have in common is the style of music they play and thier love for fender guitars.other than that very little in common.I briefly played bass for George Bellas many years ago he uses completly differnt patterns and scales.Dont get me wrong i love malmsteen always be a fan of his as well.

Indeed. Without rhythm there is no song. I give you that, Ninjaro. But tell me, is there a single Neo-Classical guitarist (popular or not) that you know who doesn't play rhythm?

Neoclassical metal is a style, to go and compare players to Malmsteen is an amateur statement,at best. There are so many people that "copy" other styles and there is no ridicule. It just so happens that Malmsteen is one of the core influences for the style. What about Rhoads,Uli Roth,Blackmore? Nobody accused them of copying each other. That is because they took influences and made actual music. Bellas is an example of that.

BLEHHH! killer man. just killer. i loved all those solos and stuff. i do understand what the dude below me is saying. he's not a copy of malmsteen, though most of the beginning has that classical harmonic minor stuff in it and he's got that stratty tone in somewhat of a resemblance to yngwie. but i mean, that's bellas. he's not a copy. but i would like to see some vids of george's melodies and stuff instead of melodic shred the whole time.

Actually in a interview I read about george... he says Yngwie wasnt his main inspiration of how he plays, he thrives from classical composers, not yngwie... the only reason why you say he is a yngwie wannabe is becuase yngwie has already done this kind of neoclassical stuff before so its nothing new or special... not to say georges stuff isnt awseme but you guys know what I mean... George does take it to the next level tho I think...

Ynwie broke that ground long time ago my friend.

@max14jackass his ability is amazing, but i think music should not be predominantly really fast, no classical pieces are anywhere near as speed orientated. I think thats because melodies are meant to be comprehendable and speedy parts should be an extension of melodies and be used to give a change in vibe, not be the vibe. please ignore im just thinking out load x)

I'll send you some links later. Yeah, Norifumi Shima is mostly rhythm, but with an obligatory solo in each song... which is great for me, haha! His instrumentals also have quite alot of rhythm. You just have to listen to "Everlasting Nightmare".

Read my comment a few times. I explained in detail what my point is. I like all kinds of different guitarists. I dont know how much you are familiar with Shawn but there is really something extraordinary going on with his level of musicianship. He doesnt always shred. You've got a player who had his influences then influenced them before it was all said and done. Other than saying my comment was stupid what was your comment? Bellas is rather notey himself so...

Shit, I love Malmsteen so why not the people who can also play that good? I can hear plenty of heart in this.

Yngwie has never even done an entire instrumental album other than with orch. or if you include the best of instrumentals.George routinely does.Stop comparing

@max14jackass Dude, slash has talent. If you can't see that then I feel sorry for you!
@Chainsawmaniacguitar
@Chainsawmaniacguitar 14 лет назад
@SAK47RAMANIAC In what sense? If you're judging a musician by technical ability alone then you're missing a massive part of the picture! Slash is not the most technical guitarist, and he doesn't claim to be. What he does have is musical talent- learn to appreciate that, even if you don't like his style.

It is EASY to play with heart....easy..its all in the note selection..I picked up a BB King video years ago and easily learned every nuance and phrase...easy...this Bellas is God....these jealous idiots who cant play like this always beak off..especially older guys stuck in the 70s..pining away for a time of little talent
