On May 20th 2016 Nicole Vanderheyden and her boyfriend Doug Detrie went out on the town, Nicole never returned home after they got separated. Doug called in a missing persons report the next day. That same day a 911 call was received of a body found. The body was Nicole Vanderheyen. Doug Detrie was originally arrested for the murder of Nicole. However, as more evidence came to light, investigators narrowed in on George Burch after finding his DNA on Nicole's sock.
George Burch was charged and sentenced to life without parole in the murder of Nicole Vanderheyen.
This is the interview with George Burch's Girlfriend at the time of the murder.
In the coming weeks all interviews that took place during the investigation will be uploaded.

I see most here in the comments found the detective annoying but I found her quite good. Her slow, level tone was likely intentional and designed to keep this emotional young lady as calm and focused as possible. I think she was quite talented. My heart breaks for Jordan. What a shitty lesson to learn so young.

I disagree completely. The only reason this tactic worked was because this girl is very naive and quite the doormat. Anyone with a spine would have given her the same exact answers back. When she said she needs to confer with other people before she tells her all she needs to say is she needs to confer with a lawyer before she writes a statement. Then she insults her by saying she is only acting that way because of her age. She also bullshits her completely about the phone. Nothing that happened was because of the skill of the investigator. The kid has been manipulated by an older guy and now she is being manipulated by the police. This detective is an asshat and anyone with a spine would have told her to shove her gentle tone up her ass.

She may not of had many relationships to gauge things off it’s only with age and experience you keep learning . Imagine this being the guy you thought you were going to be with forever. Maybe since she was 17 years younger and knew her mom didn't like him he actually spared her, and probably thought he'd be less likel to be caught as soon if at all. She said she only stayed at his house 5 times, so if she didnt come home or not answered her phone mom would've immediately been suspicious I'd think. Or he actually knew he was a monster and liked cared about her in HIS idiotic weird way and that's why he didn't go to her that night. I'm not making excuses bc he's a POS for sure, but if him screwing up her head instead of chopping it off is the cost for being alive I'm sure she'll be okay and hopefully learn from this experience. I feel so bad for her.

A desire to act out a fantasy, I think the perps pick someone they see as dehumanized. Strangely they seem to have a normal front with a woman they don’t treat as a fulfillment cum dump for their disturbing sexual fantasy. They often have a family. Ultimate mask wearers. Excellente quality video!!.. the detective knows how to approach Jordan while trying her best for the shock to be manageable for her. She is gentle and understanding and you can tell Jordan is comfortable with her. My heart goes to Jordan, she is going through a nightmare and will be affected for very long, her trust in people has been damaged. I hope she is managing to have a normal life and find happiness again, he is not worth her time and feelings

I know that there have been some relationships between couples who are nowhere near the same age and it is rare I just don't know what you could have in common with a man who is almost 40 years old and an entire 17 years ( *almost 2 decades* ) between your births. I mean she probably is still teaching him how to text and do social media you know all the stuff you need to know when you have a cell phone. The capabilities of it, like what a screenshot is, how to take one, this man was born in the mid 70s! I think 7 years would be the maximum age gap for you to possibly have SOMETHING in common...but hey, what do I know. 🙄 I can tell that she really thinks she lives him. AT LEAST SHE GETS TO LEARN EARLY IN LIFE AND SHE WILL NEVER AGAIN SAY *"THERE IS NO WAY".*

We know what these relationships have in common...... Sex organs that fit together perfectly! A power structure that benefits the other tremendously..... Her power of youth and sex appeal, his power of wisdom and being a father figure. Instability and stability... She would be unstable financially where as he is established and stable. This also adds to his power of not only preying on her daddy issues and youth so not as experienced and witty but now he even holds the purse strings. Her only power is in his lust and desire for her sexually. These age gap relationships are full of sub and dom dynamics and varies on who wields the power but this is also the dynamics!!
